Honestly, I felt so bad for Budd. Dude mad depressed and ready to die when talking to Bill and this is just a grilling session by his boss Stone cold assassin getting burned by a dude who owned a stripper joint

I loved his character so much in Volume 2. Someone so disillusioned and almost broken hearted with his past life.

Keep in mind, Budd might be the only character the Bride is genuinely afraid of. Or at least cautious of. She goes for stealth and he *still* gets the drop on her. And Budd lets Larry treat him rather poorly. One suspects Budd feels guilty for *many* things.
