I have implemented the same role in scrambles. Relief from the cartpath and then one club length from the relief. I don’t see this as an issue at all

i once lost a match bc opponent put his approach into a hedge and the captain of their team magically appeared to state that there was a ‘rabbit scraping’ near to his stance when punching out free drop one club length went from hack out to anywhere to pitched up to 4 feet 😩
