Tonight’s reports of bombardment near Kamal Adwan Hospital and order to evacuate the hospital are deeply worrisome. The hospital has been in the midst of fighting for too long and the lives of patients are at risk. This morning World Health Organization (WHO) and partners returned from Kamal Adwan Hospital where they delivered 5000 litres of fuel, 100 blood units, and transferred 8 patients and 13 companions to Al-Shifa Hospital yesterday amid ongoing hostilities and explosions close to the hospital during the mission. We call for an immediate ceasefire in the vicinity of the hospital and to protect the patients and health workers.

Fortunately, staff and patients managed to take shelter.
