So saddened to learn of Robert Redford’s passing. I grew up watching BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID with my dad. Later I would watch DOWNHILL RACER, JEREMIAH JOHNSON, THE CANDIDATE, THE WAY WE WERE, THE GREAT GATSBY, THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR, THE GREAT WALDO PEPPER, ALL THE PRESIDENT’S MEN, A BRIDGE TOO FAR, THE ELECTRIC HORSEMAN, BRUBAKER, THE NATURAL, OUT OF AFRICA, LEGAL EAGLES, SNEAKERS, SPY GAME and ALL IS LOST. Attending Sundance Film Festival and skiing at Sundance, I always hoped to bump into him. I never did. My heart is filled with gratitude for the legacy he leaves behind, his love of film, stories, and artistic expression. I am on the road now filming but when I get home, I plan on popping a big bowl of popcorn and watching BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID – taking that time machine back to when I watched it in the late seventies and early eighties with dad. Then I plan to roll into three back-to-back Redford espionage films; THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR, SNEAKERS, and SPY GAME. Even though I never met him, I feel like I grew up with him at the movies.
