Gas prices are now expected to begin falling at the pump within days. Crude oil benchmarks dropped more than 5% in early trading. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell to around $80 per barrel — its lowest level in recent months — while Brent crude, the global benchmark, traded near $82–$84.

Iran exports oil, but it also imports gasoline and diesel. Iran lacks the ability to refine enough of their own oil into gasoline and diesel. So very soon Iran will be running out of fuel everywhere.
