Under cross-examination by her legal representative at the #MadlangaCommission , IDAC state advocate Drushantha Ramsamy said Advocate Andrea Johnson had “flashed” a formal referral from then-NDPP Shamila Batohi when instructing a search of Vusimuzi Matlala’s devices for any possible links to Advocate Andrew Chauke, a move she described as strange given that it came shortly before the President was due to announce the Nkabinde Inquiry.

She wants to protect Dylan Perumal, she pauses to think about the lie, and then mentions Mlambo. Knowing very well she was briefed by Perumal and Padayachee. Yho Andrea! Their audio was played where they say there is no way Perumal could have taken a Statement from Fadiel Adams on the 6 January 2025 because they were all together with him, taking supplementary statements. No wonder she wanted to resign immediately!! I've never seen anything like this. #MadlangaCommission
