According to new reports, Harris’ team has requested vetting info from several potential VP picks, but Andy Beshear’s name was not on that list. LEX News caught up with the governor as he was leaving the Capitol around 11 this morning. Here’s what we learned:

Beshear explains his criticism of Vance. “…Vance has manipulated and profited from our people. I’m not mad at JD Vance because he’s the vice presidential candidate for another party. I’m mad that he called the people of Eastern Kentucky lazy. He came for us…” @LEX18News

@LEX18News Honestly I think Beshear is more valuable as governor of Kentucky, he can oversee the general election there. We've all seen Mitch McConnell public freezes, if he resigns or retires before his senate term ends. Beshear can appoint his replacement.
