Right now Net Zero is getting the blame for everything. The madly ironic truth is that the series of blackouts of the last few years have had nothing to do with net zero and everything to do with extreme weather, driven by the climate crisis - and net zero is how we stop that getting worse. Stopping net zero is not the answer to stopping extreme weather induced blackouts….Jeez…

Physicist Brian Greene demonstrates gravity in the simplest way possible using a bottle full of water. When the bottle is held still water streams out through the holes because gravity creates pressure inside. But the instant he drops the bottle the leaking stops completely. Bottle and water fall together at the same rate so the water becomes weightless relative to the bottle. It is a perfect demonstration of Einstein’s idea that gravity and acceleration are deeply connected. What feels like weight is often just the result of the frame you are in.

He lied by claiming that under Net Zero, electricity prices would be cheaper, when in fact, Net Zero is causing electricity prices to skyrocket. There should be a national plebiscite on Net Zero after an honest debate about its true costs. Intermittent renewables are to an electricity grid what COVID injections are to the human body—the more you put into the system, the greater the damage you do.

The SA Liberals motion to dump Net Zero has resonated throughout the country with other divisions due to do the same!! The importance of ‘drill baby drill is it drops the price of everything. Whereas solar and wind is expensive, unreliable and actually destroys the environment. Time to make Australia great again!!

So Michaelia is now speaking out against the madness of Net Zero. Better late than never. However, it would have been nice to have had her support five years ago when I was one of the few in the Coalition prepared to take up the fight and argue the case against Net Zero. Instead, Michaelia was sitting in cabinet, changing the policy which we took to the 2019 election, and signing off on the Liberal Party adopting Net Zero for 2050.
