Ace Bailey is going to give Cooper Flagg a competitive run for the No. 1 overall pick. Not many prospects have this type of shot-making ability to go with Bailey’s physical traits. Many NBA executives believe Bailey is in a similar tier as Flagg.

Offensively, I agree. Defensively Bailey isn’t on the same planet as Flagg. Cumulatively, they aren’t close.

imo overrated very good shooter with automatic moves and a good frame, but systematically avoids contact and cannot create space against tier 3 ncaa defenses

I agree. Cooper Flagg is awesome and steadily improving. Ace has Kevin Durant upside because of his superior shooting ability. If he continues to show toughness and leadership, I’d draft him #1.

Athletic freak and the shot making is extraordinary, but a little concerned by how little separation he gets against these college guys. Might not matter when you can jump three feet to get any shot off, but definitely keeping an eye out for development there

Dylan and Egor should as well. Flaggs passing + defense at his size will keep him ahead slightly but all 4 of these guys have all nba ceilings I think and would not be surprised if Flagg ended up the 4th best despite being the best now. Not to mention Tre , VJ , Nolan crazy draft

Doing it against Merrimack isn’t the same as doing it against Kentucky. So this is an intellectual talking point until Bailey plays like Flagg against a similar level of competition. Further, being in the same tier is not being at the same level.
