Goal or No Goal The rule👇 👉 That is NOT a goal. It’s an offence for preventing the goalkeeper from releasing the ball, and play should be stopped. The restart would be a free kick to the goalkeeper’s team. When would it be a goal? •If the goalkeeper completely released the ball, •the ball was clearly free in the air, •and the striker then kicked it and scored, 👉 That IS a valid goal. Key takeaway (simple version): •Ball still under keeper’s control → no goal •Ball fully released and free → goal

The timing coming out of your glove load is key. The longer you can wait, the more ball flight you can see which gives a better chance to square the ball up.
