Pressurization system uses bleed air routed through the Air Conditioning system to pressurize and condition the aircraft’s cabin. Outflow valves are used to regulate the pressurisation of the airplane. By setting the intended Flight Level and Landing Altitude, in AUTO mode, the pressurization controller strives to maintain the cabin altitude slightly below the selected landing altitude. In case of a failure, it is possible to switch to MANUAL ops if the AUTO & ALTN modes failed. In MANUAL, it allows full control of the cabin altitude and pilots refer to a placard to set the cabin altitude accordingly to the flight level by opening/closing manually the outflow valve.
