I had a few casual conversations on business issues and am reminded of the old management consulting adage: “I don’t have a solution, if you don’t have a problem.” Acting outside of solving a problem is pursuing an opportunity. Opportunity algebra is very different than problem solving algebra. There are many opportunities, more than you can pursue, and the pursuits are optional. Problems however have fewer viable solutions and you are almost compelled to act. Early Bitcoin adopters see Bitcoin as both an opportunity and a solution to endless fiat debasement and central control of money. Most people simply do not see the problem that Bitcoiners see and they question the opportunity of a Bitcoin allocation when they see fantastic returns in tech and AI. One day this will change.
