My former employer, will subtly find a way to remind you that you don't belong there, at some point if you participate and make much effort it will now be like "is like there is something you wants to benefit in this project", Thank you so much ma, your videos are inspirational

Such work environment isn't the best for career growth

Good push.... however don't you this "Act like you belong there" contradicts "Stay Foolish?

You can belong, say your piece, not wait for permission to participate while staying curious, asking questions and learning. They are mental models that can co-exist.

"Act like you belong there" will require one to posses or have ample or expertise knowledge in that field. This demand won't make you stay as a beginner for a long time. Unless you want me to act without asking for permission to participate with my begginer mindset.
