Active Shooter Response: Which version do you want coming to rescue your kids? This is a before and after live fire CQB run of one of our Active Shooter Response students, in both runs they don’t know the configuration of the shoot house and there is stimulus (gunshots). (The...

VIOLENCE OF ACTION

How much does it cost to build a structure like that? I’m trying to gauge the costs of building a complex for RNGs, flat range, and a shoot house on 100+ acres.

That’s actually about what I had been guessing. I don’t suspect there’s large profit margins (fine by me), but do you think it’s worth it to offer something like this in a more rural location? Small airport w/directs to Memphis and DFW 2x a day nearby.

The difference is map awareness. You didn't change the position of anything, so no shit your student went faster the second time. You need to switch things up because you want to train instinct. Not memory.

Just carry enough flashbangs to throw in every room before clearing.🌛

How can you better handle entering long hallways? On the after version, entering the hallway after the first room, he’s exposed one way b.c he can’t get eyes on it. He looked left, exposing himself right. Is there any way to mitigate that or is it pick a side and move fast?

Speed, it’s a center fed room for single Officer response so being a good shooter and efficient in the house is the best answer

Good stuff.👊 But I want the teacher, who's already in the school, knows the layout, and can pinpoint the location of gunfire in seconds. Not a knock on this training/performance. At all.

I’m fascinated by this range facility. I really want to know more about its design and construction, what WDA template it uses etc. We should be talking about range design and construction as much as we talk about guns & ammo. It’s a vital but much overlooked component.

The one where a school isn't treated like a mud hut in the middle east? Clearing over sights and flagging every "target" on the way through is certainly a choice. Threshold evals and positions of domination also seem optional here.

I've spent the last 5 months recovering from an injury and minor procedure. I'm back to working out again and yesterday during my dry fire work I took some time for gun-kata and then added some footwork for good measure. Sometimes the gun-kata is super intense and the footwork...whew...switching between the two-step and the peekaboo, make for a real workout and I feel very accomplished. But...and here me out, because I'm just offering "constructive" criticism by asking, and I'm doing so "deliberately," and that may land "dynamically"....but here it is: "When do you the gun-kata and footwork modules in that course?"

Not the point of the post, not everyone has been giving spiritual discernment and all children are God’s children.

I prefer the Uvalde method. Stack 14 guys and wait cuz you’re afraid of one shooter.
