Actor Matthew McConaughey was recently asked in an interview whether he believed he would go to Heaven when he died. Here’s his response—and my thoughts on how you can know for sure that Heaven will be your home.

This is why so many people can lost and confused because they listen to actors, actresses and athletes as if they are the final answer. I mean, they are on TV so they must be doing something right. No! Jesus IS the only way. He is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. John 14:6

That’s only the partial truth. The Lord said that water baptism is also REQUIRED in order to be saved: Mark 16:16- "He that believeth AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." As did Peter: Acts 2:38- "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, AND BE BAPTIZED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." 1 Peter 3:20-21- "Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were SAVED BY WATER. The like figure whereunto even BAPTISM DOES ALSO NOW SAVE US (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:" As did Ananias: Acts 22:16- “And now WHY TARRIEST THOU? ARISE, AND BE BAPTIZED, AND WASH AWAY THY SINS, calling on the name of the Lord.” As did Paul: Romans 6:3-4: “Know ye not, that so many of us as were BAPTIZED into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Who is buried with Him into His death? “So many of us who believed”? No. “So many of us as were BAPTIZED into Jesus Christ”.  He also said this: Galatians 3:27- “For as many of you as have been BAPTIZED into Christ have put on Christ.” Who has put on Christ? Those who just believe? No. Those who have been BAPTIZED into Christ. But even if you just look at Matt. 28:19, it says “Go…teach…baptizing…”. Really think about that. Not: “Go, teach, and then with every eye closed and every head bowed, have people raise their hands, and silently say a prayer asking Me into their hearts.” No. Again, go, teach, and BAPTIZE. Even Paul’s partner in evangelism wrote of its necessity: "Blessed are they who, placing their trust in the cross, have gone down into the water...We indeed descend into the WATER full of sins and defilement. However, we come up, bearing fruit in our heart, having the fear [of God] and the trust in Jesus in our spirit." Barnabas (c.79-130). Belief is our response to the Gospel. Repentance is our response to the Gospel. Confession with the mouth is our response to the Gospel. Are any of those us “working” for our salvation? Of course not. Neither is baptism, as it points directly to Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

Saving faith produces works. Read the book of Hebrews.

Finding out 1 second after death is too late for something so important. 100% confidence or nothing. 99.99999% is not sufficient. Either Jesus did it all or we are all doomed.

I HOPE Matthew Mcconaughey sees this because saving faith means KNOWING there is a heaven and hell. If we don’t believe that, faith is subject to what we want it to be.

That tells me he ain’t going up. You know beyond a shadow of doubt when Heaven/eternal life comes in your heart.

Jesus answered that question 3 times, but Christians ignore him. Why?

Heaven is not secured by our goodness or personal certainty. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, who died for sinners and rose again. “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life” (John 3:36, KJV). True assurance rests in Him.

He is being worldly as not to rock Hollywood. Be bold Matthew proclaim our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!!!!!

So many people answer this with 'I think so' or a number out of ten. 1 John 5:13 says we can know, because it rests on what Jesus did, not on how good we feel we've been. I made a short on someone who rated her chances 'about a seven':
