Mel Brooks on the letters he received from fans who thought 'Spaceballs' (1987) was funnier than 'Star Wars' (1977): "'Spaceballs' (1987) went on to become one of the biggest hits in the Mel Brooks cinematic universe. I think I’ve autographed more 'Spaceballs' posters than for any other Mel Brooks film. I’ve even gotten some letters from young fans that saw 'Spaceballs' before they saw 'Star Wars' (1977). They would often ask me why 'Star Wars' wasn’t so funny." (Mel Brooks, 'Mel Brooks on the Making of Spaceballs', Mel Brooks, Literary Hub, 2021)

The love story of former hostage Emily Damari and popular Israeli influencer Danielle Amit 💕 On October 6th, 2023, Emily, who, like 100s of thousands of Israelis, followed Danielle on Instagram for her recipes and recommendations, replied to a story of hers. The next day, Danielle realized Emily was taken hostage. She found herself fighting every day for Emily, even though they didn’t actually know each other. Meanwhile, Emily went through 471 days of Hamas captivity. Botched surgery on her hand and leg. Utter torture. Then, finally, she was released. She and Danielle met, Danielle made her pasta, and Emily, as Danielle puts it, immediately started flirting with her. Danielle told her, “I’m only attracted to men.” But, as she says now, “it turns out that wasn’t true.” “It’s very important not to listen to yourself,” Danielle writes. All the time Danielle fought for Emily, she didn’t realize it was to free her love. She needed to meet her to understand. A love story that is beyond beautiful and unique. It’s a miracle. Am Yisrael Chai ❤️🇮🇱
