clarification: don't buy scout's slingshot in your main build... only buy this while you're dead and you have some damage ticking, and need some extra damage to finish off a kill. you're at minimum gaining the 40 dmg, but if you have items/passives that deal DoT you refresh it

Does it only let you refund it if you don't get the kill with it? Or is it not refundable once it does the damage?

you'll have to actually sell it. so you're net +120 gold if it results in a kill because you need to: -spend 600 -sell for 420 -then, you're at -180 gold. But if you gain a kill, you gain +300. so -180 + 300 = 120g net profit, assuming a kill is worth 300g.

It is nice but useful one in 20 games at best. And you think of it quick engough and can buy fast enough and have inventory slots.

could very well change the outcome of a game, in 1 in 100 games, worth knowing for invested players, but yeah its use case is narrow

That's a super useful tip, thanks man. I used to use Alternator for some nice burst damage when dying, but I had no idea it had such an interesting interaction with Scout's Slingshot.

noticed that scouts slingshot applied on abilities extrapolated that info with pre existing knowledge of hextech alternator ignite interaction started testing found some things out (didnt know scouts slingshot applied runes, items and spells) here we are
