The most unbelievable part is an all white basketball team

Adam West’s 1966 Batman was pure comedy gold 😭🦇💥 The camp the one liners the over-the-top action absolutely iconic.

But as a kid, I thought this was the greatest entertainment ever

Ahead of its time the forerunner of films like Airplane and Police Squad. The writing and acting is incredible. So funny. I don't think they were writing it for kids. 🤣

Me when I roll out of bed in the mornings.

He didn’t need fake armour suit muscles!

Still the best version of Batman and i will die on this hill...

No one has mentioned the all white basketball team.

Fun fact, Adam West guest starred in the BTAS episode: ‘Beware The Grey Ghost’. He voiced the ‘Grey Ghost’ who was Bruce’s hero when he was a kid. A very fitting role for him.

Still the best Batmobile ever though...

Title - Batman (1966 film)

The "Disko Tech" reference there is rather interesting.

I just downloaded it yesterday for the nostalgic value, high camp fun! The film was popular and made money but "Batmania" would be dead within 2 years. For this 5 y.o. from The Bronx all that mattered was seeing these 4 onscreen together.

It was 1966. Vast majority of children were entertained by such innocence in acting. Today kids think this is lame, but in '66, I was entertained as were other kids.

Com a dublagem PT-BR fica ainda melhor.

I fucking lose it every time to the bat shark repellent spray

I would watch it every day when I came home from school, along with The Monkees.

Cesar Romero 🎭 is the greatest #Joker that's ever lived Period

When that basketball team walked in, there was a real Dragnet 1968 feel there. Must have been a lot of the same folks involved.

The comedy is what made it so good. Marvel does a great job mixing comedy in to their movies and DC should focus on that as well

There is only one Adam West

So they just knocked the Joker out and then just left him on the gym floor. No wonder he kept cpming back and causing trouble. Maybe they should have brought him to the police station idk 🤷♂️

Your Batman is nothing in front of him 😭😄

Hated it growing up, hated it now. Batman 89 all the way.

I used to watch this as a kid and so many things from it were perfect. The sounds the music, everything was iconic and had a different feeling. Movies and shows we get today are great too but there is a feeling that you don't get from todays media but you do from this.

Batman surfing was my favorite…

Funny thing, too, is all the villains really don’t do anything: no crime even worth mentioning! But Chief O’Hara is still terrified.

"Instead of a sneeze, I've caught you cold." ...so there was only one writer?

Not just comedy — genuinely underrated. West played it completely straight, which is exactly why it worked; the deadpan delivery sold every "Bam!" and "Pow!" as if it were serious drama. That's a harder acting trick than people give him credit for. 🦇😄 #Batman #AdamWest

The best!
