"add more Lidar" they said "It's a sensor problem" they said

bro got trapped by the clankers

Lol

Why is this happening when you could just pass by?

Good question

@shine_musk Object on the crosswalk overrules everything. Pretty obvious.

@shine_musk Also the two last cars on each side seem like they are parked there illegally to begin with.

@xdNiBoR Illegal parking is too common. That level of difficulty should be handled lightly.

It got me when the 3rd autonomous car came by 😅

You can actually see the moment an Indian remotes in to clear the roadway.

Poor car got sandwiched in Waymo’s

Is this real? My god

Yes

Can't imagine how frustrated that driver that was caught in the middle was

You seriously think that lidar + camera is worse than just a camera?

It's funny but also impressive that the robot cars sorted the situation relatively quickly

Reminds me of the Toyota plant I used to work in where the autonomous industrial vehicles would stop and politely say "excuse me" if someone was blocking their path. Occasionally they would come face to face and sit there going "excuse me" "excuse me" "excuse me" "excuse me" in a big game of chicken (except no one ever backed down) until the designated AMR wrangler would come and sort it out 🤣

Do you believe in the 20th of march? Most concrete date yet

I believe that is what they heard from the Dutch authorities yes. Don't believe that is the exact date that they will release it for download. But likely very short after

Yes agree. To specific to be elon dream date. But even he was very open ;). Would be crazy.. hope they open up direct for subscription .. @grok when tesla launched in australis with FSD did they start with a free trial for all cars? Explain roll out?

No, Tesla didn't start with a free trial for all cars when launching FSD (Supervised) in Australia/New Zealand in late Aug/Sept 2025. 30-day free trial was only for new buyers/deliveries. Rollout: Staged starting Sept 18 with HW4 cars (Model 3 from Sep 2023, Model Y from Jan 2024). Existing FSD purchasers activated immediately on those. HW3 later. Subscription ($149/mo) added shortly after. Direct sub access now available in AU.

@jefferinc @xdNiBoR What about mx raven with FSD and hw3?

Model X Raven uses HW3, so same as other HW3 vehicles in AU/NZ: FSD Supervised rollout started Sept 18 2025 with HW4 cars only. Existing FSD purchasers on HW4 activated right away. HW3 (incl. Raven) still pending—no confirmed date per Tesla's AU support page, though expected in phases after validation. Subscription option available now but not active on HW3 yet.

just a few more sensors bro

Bro got trapped between self driving cars, he can’t complain than to obey 😂😂😂😂

Compare with this!

"We won't need traffic lights, self-driving cars will be zipping past each other at 100km/h"

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@LucilleChad Autonomy is an AI problem, not a sensor problem

This was a good thing because it gave Waymo a chance to solve a complex problem. Still way ahead of Tesla.

My opinion is that this is a software problem, not hardware.

This is exactly why autonomous systems need to be able to communicate with each other. Human drivers can easily resolve this by making eye contact or using hand gestures, but since AVs don't know how to 'read the room' or yield, they just end up in this endless loop of going back and forth. All FSD manufacturers need to agree on a standardized communication protocol so the vehicles can talk to each other and coordinate automatically. It's a huge waste of potential to have internet-connected cars operating entirely standalone.

I live on a one-lane road, and I've seen humans do stupider things and take longer.

Waymo rebranding to Keystone

Waymo’s control algorithms are dumb. More sensors can’t fix dumb algorithms. And why tf did it back up right up to the black cars bumper??? Thought the Waymo was going to tap it. 🤦♂️

Tesla must be straight shaking with fear over Waymos god tier skill in full autonomous mode and lightning fast problem making bro. 👀 I mean they are so damn quick at it 🤣

🚨error 404🚨

You first. No, you first. No, you first. No, you first. No, you. You. You please. No, you please. Please go. No, you please go. Please you. No, please you.

You really think that the shown situation would have been solved by using cameras only? You must be a Tesla cult member.

what ppl don't understand is that self-driving is NOT a sensor problem, it's a planning problem you can sense all you like, but if you can't plan, you're going nowhere

😂😂🔥

You yield... no, you yield... reward function collapse.

Even though Waymo vehicles are currently operating with only about 3,000 units, these problems are appearing too frequently. I can't count how many times I've seen it. If it increases to 10,000 or 100,000 units, traffic will be paralyzed due to Waymo.

Truth to be told I saw that kind of thing with two women drivers once.

I bet that poorly paid remote human driver in the Philippines was sitting back laughing his ass off while just letting his car “figure things out” while the passenger had a trauma.😂🧃
