Yup. I’ve been there. 4 years clean. It was worth the horrors.

I work in the addiction treatment space. The recidivism rate is astronomical. Less than 6% of people never heal from a $30k rehab process. In case you don't know, opioids change the physical chemistry of your brain. such large amounts of it's dopamine, cause you're neurons to limit this intake. So when you try to quit, you feel terrible, because your brain cannot process normal levels of dopamine anymore. Be advised, and stay the fuck away from drugs, especially anything that is an opioid either legal or illegal!

Addicts never comprehend the level of pain they cause others.

So is Alzheimer's. But its sufferers don't choose to inflict it on themselves and their loved ones.

She's bound by unbridled freedom, and that freedom has destroyed her life. The reason why we must "watch" her die is because of our beliefs. We believe she has the right to k*ll herself. Doesn't have to be this way. We could always restrict her freedoms and save her.

Lost my older sister to alcohol. Saw her battle it for years. I'll never forget her face the last year of her life when she gave up fighting it. It's was shortly after we found her dead in her apartment.

Its horrific. People need to have compassion. We need to find a way to help all people with substance abuse issues

Addiction is heartbreak in slow motion—losing someone who’s still breathing. But Jesus came to set captives free. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm, 147:3, NIV) There is hope. There is healing. Pray. Believe. Be saved.

100% spot on

Great
