Aero Fighters / SNES / 1994

In Japan, it was known as Sonic Wings. For me, one of the best games ever made! We used to play in pairs, and there was a lot of collaboration. You protected your partner, had location strategies, left the weapon for your partner to balance the plane. Fantastic.

Aero Fighters/Sonic Wings is one of my favorite shmups ever. And this port for SNES is wonderful, very similar to the original Arcade version. However, although the Arcade version has slightly better graphics I prefer the SNES version because it has better soundtrack imo.

Looks so much harder with the horizontal screen aspect!
