Strength is overrated. Because what is its use? Be strong enough to be functional. But beyond a point, strength has almost zero utility. You can be a 500 kg deadlifter but a kid with a gun can put you down in 3 seconds. Overall health matters more 😆

Фото профиля Ericonet
Ericonet3 месяцев назад

Damn right my bro. A gun is even too much. A skillfull tiny fighter will disgrace you with all your strength in one minute. 😂

@Metabolic1992 Positive you both can bench 275+, squat 315+, dead 405+ No?

Фото профиля AP Joshua

@ericunited1 I can squat 315+ yes, deadlift 450+, bench maybe if I train for bench i can. Dumbell incline presses is what I do. Currently 40 kg dumbells... About 6-7 reps.

@ericunited1 Then you're strong dude. And your aesthetic. Which was what I was getting at, you're both aesthetic and assumed strong. It's better to be both than just one imo.

@ericunited1 Yes 👍🏻 Being strong at low body fat automatically brings aesthetics. Both are good to have 😁

Agree my cardiologist just recommended I lose weight. Said the heart is out under stress from mass regardless of fat or muscle. I am losing weight for my long term health.

I partially agree with him. Strength is just as important as aesthetics. For me, I want to be both strong and aesthetically appealing.

Фото профиля Ericonet
Ericonet3 месяцев назад

You can only choose one oooo. There's no sitting on the fence. 😂 But the truth is, anyone who has his kind of build would have enough strength already. There's no fatting up all in the name of "strength."

Фото профиля Ericonet

And what can you do about that?

Фото профиля 🏋🏿‍♂️HOTEP📚
🏋🏿‍♂️HOTEP📚3 месяцев назад

Strength>> Aesthetics is not tied to longevity. It's not tied to any measurable health metric that can improve your quality of life beyond looks. Strength last longer treats your body better and when done properly with a good diet, will still result in an Aesthetic physique.

Фото профиля Ericonet
Ericonet3 месяцев назад

But you can be aesthetically built and still have enough strength. Agree?

Фото профиля 🏋🏿‍♂️HOTEP📚
🏋🏿‍♂️HOTEP📚3 месяцев назад

Yes. But anyone who says that focusing on strength is a wasteless endeavor knows very little about the action of strength and the human condition. It is better to achieve an aesthetic physique from a good diet and sufficient strength training than to lean directly into aesthetics.

Фото профиля Ericonet

I get your point.

Фото профиля HolmgangMMA

When you have achieved good aesthetics you WILL be somewhat strong in relation to your own bodyweight. It's not as important if you bench 20kg more or less, if you're not a powerlifter or strongman.

@gracepuregold I think you can do both 😉

Фото профиля Ericonet

@gracepuregold That aesthetics look comes with enough strength already if you deepen it. It's not so cheap to build muscles.

My position is put enough weight on to where you can do 12-15 reps with the last rep reaching failure point. That will build good strength + give you all the aesthetics.

Фото профиля Ericonet

Remain ever blessed, brother! This is enough for the balance of life.

Фото профиля IknowKungFu

Disagree. I don’t wanna look strong. I wanna BE strong. Working for aesthetics is like buying a Porsche for everyone to see and not once taking it out to spin and testing its limits. An aesthetic guy will never know what his true strength because he is being held back by society.

Фото профиля Ericonet

Aesthetic build is enough strength on its own for functionality. Think about it

if you’re hitting the right lifts then increasing the weight is not going to hurt your aesthetics. the real issue here is diet not routine.

As long as you have sufficient muscle mass to maintain function, strength is the premium quality, especially as you age. That said, if you build muscle mass you should build strength as well.

Фото профиля Ericonet

Yeah, Mark. Balance is key, but don't go around looking rounded because you are building for "strength"

Absolutely agree. There is no way a good looking muscle is weak and it is really not important how strong you are, you will be plenty.

Фото профиля Ericonet

On point there! The muscle didn't get there by chance. It was built to that level. So that's enough strength for me.

Depends on your life. I work in a prison, being stronger than other people is important. Also the doors are super heavy and weak people often end up with shoulder injuries from repeated use there. Also, being strong helps injury recovery.
