What I didn’t like: It can be too dramatic sometimes. Plot twists every 5 minutes. Some acting is hit or miss. If you don’t like Tyler Perry’s style, this won’t change your mind. People mostly talk about the reveal about the "beauty empire." Without spoilers: what the family is really selling isn’t what you think. That twist got everyone. Final take: 10/10 Beauty in Black isn’t deep art. It’s a soap opera with higher stakes. But it’s fast, it’s bold, and it keeps you watching. Watch if you like: Empire, The Oval, messy family drama with secrets. Skip if you want: Slow, artsy films.

#EastEnders #Mauren WHAT A DUFF DUFF!! 😱😬 Tense scenes at the Vic between Mark & Lauren and their families where Mark has a change of heart and decides to stay in Walford after all as Lauren puts fire with fire and commits to her affair with Mark. 🔥😬 There's no way that Mark returned to Walford just so he could finish what he started with Lauren 🤔👀 So he was going to make a flying visit just to give Lauren a choice and then fly back to Florida without a care in the world. Surely Mark has to be running away from something hence why he's making the pitstop in Walford. The last time we heard he's still in hot water with Sonny and Deleney and I don't think this is well and truly the end of all the car lot stuff for Mark and Lauren either - I definitely think all that stuff is going to revisited again at some stage. We knew Mark was staying anyway as he's in the Flashforward but whether Mark and Lauren are still keeping up their affair at this stage remains to be seen as I can imagine that Peter, Max and Cindy will be aware of the affair at this stage and with tensions reaching all time high between Peter and Max by NYD I'm unsure if Mark and Lauren will be able to keep things going between them but only time will tell. Now there could be a slight possibility that Lauren might end up pregnant with Mark's baby after they slept together and began their affair last night - I actually don't want this in a way - mainly because Lauren already has 2 kids and 2 members of the Branning family expecting kids would just make things more messy and complicated then what they already are especially with Max still being unaware that Priya is pragnant with his child. I think a pregnancy is on the cards for Lauren but possibly later on beyond the Flashforward and into 2027 although it would be interesting to see if Peter and Lauren do get divorced off the back of her affair being revealed. Lauren cheated on Peter once with Zack and they overcome it but the fact she's done it twice - surely there's no coming back from this for Peter and Lauren once shit hits the fan. I wish Lauren would take her own advice when it comes to affairs and playing away - she lectures Max about the car crash of a life he's creating for himself yet Lauren is putting it all on the line sleeping with Mark when she's a married woman with 2 kids and has responsibilities. The family moments with Peter Lauren Cindy and Oscar were brilliant. Oscar flirting with Mark, Cindy forced to bury the hatchet with Lauren whilst Peter remains totally oblivious to the drama that is imploding around him. I wish Lauren would just make life easier for herself and cut her loses with Peter. I know family means everything to Lauren and it's something she's worked so hard for she's a good mum who doesn't want to lose her kids but surely the right thing to do is to be honest with Peter. Lauren is bored with how things are going between her and Peter she said as much at the start of the ep - if that's the case why not just end things go ahead with a divorce and keep things amicable for the kids sake and then commit to Mark if that's what Lauren really wants. She's making things harder for herself by dragging things out. That moment at the end was awkward yet equally hilarious. Lauren caught between the 2 men in her life torn between her stability with Peter and her spontaneity with Mark. Mark's final line to Peter. " I'll have what your having"🤣😭 - Well mate you're having his wife so I think you're having more then enough. God this felt so awkward for Lauren. I don't feel sorry for Peter because of the way he treats Lauren and always glorifies Cindy above his own wife however I do feel the most sorry for Louie and Jimmy who are caught up in the middle of all this. The fallout will be massive for them 😱😢💔 I just hope that Lauren knows what she is doing. 💫 - Who will be first to clock Lauren & Mark's affair? 💫 - How will Mark and Lauren be drawn into the Flashfoward?

American Family Nurse Practitioner saw a patient in the Emergency room and has a very serious warning. Don’t let your dog lick you on the mouth A patient came into the emergency and she looked extremely pregnant, like 8-9 months pregnant but the patient said she wasn’t pregnant After running all the tests everything kept coming back as normal and not pregnant But the belly was extremely distended and “if was clear that something was in there” it was also very “firm” Every test keeps coming back as normal “Nothing explains why it looks like she's immediately about to deliver. Then we ultrasound her abdomen, and we don't see a baby. Nope. Massive cystic structure taking up a huge portion of her abdominal cavity. Tumor? Massive hepatic cyst? Some bizarre congenital anomaly? Go to CT, and that's where we find enormous 25-centimeter lesion in the right lobe of her liver. So big that it's displacing her bowel and other organs in the same sense that a pregnancy might do. The cysts weren't empty. There were smaller pieces inside the cysts. Imagine this big ball filled with littler balls. It gets worse” “Radiology calls them daughter cysts, and this is where infectious diseases gets involved and we start drawing a bunch of labs and doing way more studies. Cystic echinococcosis.She has a hydatid cyst. What causes hydatid cyst? Echinococcosis granulosus. Parasitic tapeworm. Yes, I said tapeworm. Someone brilliantly asks, "Hey, do you have any dogs?" Which she replies, "Yeah, my dog is my life. He's my literal baby." The dog sleeps in her bed, licks her face, and kisses her on the mouth all the time. This is where it gets gross. Dogs and other canids can be definitive hosts for echinococcosis, the adult tapeworms, like the final form. The adult worms live in intestines and produce microscopic eggs that shed in feces. Humans accidentally ingest them through fecal-oral transmission. The eggs hatch, larvae penetrate the intestinal walls, they enter circulation. What's the first place that they meet in circulation? The liver. Once they're there, they slowly form these massive cysts that take up a ton of space. What's inside those cysts? More of the parasites. All of the tiny balls on the CT that we saw, the balls inside of balls inside of balls, those are literally more baby parasites that are gonna grow up into adult tapeworms and then penetrate the walls of the intestine, replicate, and make more parasites. One of the scary parts is that they can grow for years and not have anybody know. Another scary part is you don't just stick a needle in, suck it out, and be done with it. If you mess this up and you spill the contents of those cysts, there are tons of tiny baby parasite particles spread about the abdomen and make everything so much worse. They can invade other organs. They can do tons of damage. It's a mess. Not only that, spilling those contents can actually trigger anaphylactic reaction, so people can die from opening them up and spilling them. Would Andy Burnham’s PROVEN Pakistani Rape Gang protecting Greater Manchester Police care to comment on the accuracy of my information? How about the corrupt politician defending The Oldham Times or the Manchester News MEN? A drugs farm was raided last year on Queens Road. The property belonged to the son of a senior Labour Party politician in the town. I’m talking former mayor, still active, with direct associations with Oldham Council leadership. In the conduct of their investigation, a property was raided and substantial amounts of cash was found. Tens of thousands. Fast forward a year, no charges have been brought. The case has disappeared. My sources in the community believe the case disappeared not only because of who was being investigated, but because very senior politicians in the town, reliant on a cartel controlled block vote, intervened and applied pressure. Whatever the truth of it, the raiding of a property belonging to a powerful Pakistani Labour Party family should have made the news. My thought: This is just another example of a corrupt town where the police are partners with the Pakistani politicians that run the town. And these Pakistani politicians, time and time again, have direct family links with dangerous organised crime groups that run the drugs operations. For years I have argued that the National Crime Agency must be called into Oldham. I have no doubt that if it did, senior police officers as well as politicians would all go to prison. Yesterday, I moved a vote of no confidence in the Albanese Labor Government. Labor survived but only because they were protected by the Greens and Senator Pocock, who voted against my motion, and by Senators Lambie, Tyrell, and Thorpe who abstained. Any Senator who continues to prop up this terrible government should be ashamed. Back in 2017, I was in a delegation to India with other parliamentarians including the current Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese. I learned quite a bit about him and his ‘leadership’ style, and my assessment back then was: “nice bloke, but no leader”. Since last year’s election, my assessment has been proven correct. I have no confidence in the Albanese Labor government. The Prime Minister is unfit to lead, and Labor is unfit to govern this nation. They are controlled by unions, and they are controlled by the anti-Australian Greens. They pursue policies which directly harm the Australian people and the national economy. Their list of failure, neglect and incompetence is a long one in only 18 months. Their obsession with climate change and renewables is directly responsible for the record energy bills hurting Australian families and business, not to mention transmission lines on farming land. This obsession is well on the way to killing our mining and farming industries, our economic mainstays which support regional communities and much of the taxpayer funded services Australians take for granted. They’re also attacking farmers by taking more water from communities in the Murray Darling Basin, shutting down live exports, polluting agricultural land with renewables or locking it up for ‘nature repair’. If you think your groceries are expensive now, just wait. Labor’s incompetence has seen the release of dangerous criminals into the community – three of which have already been arrested for more alleged crimes. 147 have been released – or are about to be released – despite the High Court’s decision on extended detention was only for one of them. They jumped the gun after they were caught with their pants down, and their only response is to blame the former government. People smugglers have also heard the message loud and clear, with a boat actually reaching the Australian mainland a few weeks ago. Immigration is out of control, with record numbers driving inflation and the national housing and rental crisis. The PM sowed division in Australia with his disastrous campaign for a voice to Parliament, wasting 450 million dollars. At least his divisive referendum exposed the failure of the 40 billion dollar per year aboriginal industry to close the gaps Labor refuses to investigate and audit this industry to get to the bottom of why it has failed indigenous Australians in genuine need. Labor has made the family law system even more one-sided against fathers by removing shared parental responsibility, and is failing men across a range of issues. They’ve done nothing to address the epidemic of male suicide, which in the past year has claimed the lives of more than 2500 men and boys. The PM has a minister for women, even a minister for a republic which doesn’t exist, but not a minister for men. Labor refuses to support an inquiry into the huge increase of children being treated for gender dysphoria with puberty blockers and cross sex hormones. Labor has given the chop to critical infrastructure projects that would improve road safety and water security. It hasn’t reduced spending – it’s just moved money around and held projects hostage against favourable state election outcomes. Especially in Queensland. Australians are hurting from the cost of living crisis. Virtually everything costs more than it did in May last year, when the Albanese Labor government was elected: • groceries; • fuel; • energy bills; • rents; • mortgages. These costs just keep going up, and there’s no end in sight. On average, mortgagees are paying over 20,000 dollars more per year on their home loans as the RBA desperately tries to reign in this inflation. Labor has made a sport of disrespecting this Parliament, the seat of democracy and the people’s elected representatives. They’ve rammed through laws – heavy with negative consequences for the economy, national security and the cost of living – and given the people’s representatives virtually no time to review them. Now that Harry can no longer play the race or sexism cards, having been accused of both himself, he’s turned to his Eton PR buddy to spin the media narrative. They’re briefing outlets he’s actually suing, ramping up attacks on Sophie by painting her as some white colonialist throwback to the Rhodesia era—Harry’s lack of self awareness is staggering, as Sophie’s grandmother was a housemaid back then and it’s a deeply personal experience and time but to weaponise it against her is sick in the head. But it gets worse. Instead of pausing for some self-reflection or taking accountability, he’s got his crisis management yes men pushing the line that Sophie’s only doing this out of jealousy toward Meghan🤣🤦🏾‍♂️Jealous of what, exactly? Meghan’s got a rotten personality, doesn’t speak to her own family, has cut Harry off from his, and isn’t the catch she and Harry seem to think she is. Everything about her is contrived and phony—she leaned on white men to claw her way up the ladder. Meanwhile, Sophie’s put in the work, is far better educated, runs her own biotech company, and has raised ten times the funds Meghan ever has. All this is garbage Harry has pulled at Senteable is the same pattern of behaviour he has done all his life and at the Invictus Games, where he drove out CEO Peter Lawless and Chief Commercial Officer Bill Cooper in 2023 for wanting to have those uncomfortable conversations about him and Meghan but Harry wouldn’t listen and how the senior team wouldn’t defend them in the media, leaving behind a toxic mess. He’s a bully who stomps on anyone who dares disagree with him, and Dr. Sophie nailed it—Harry and his toxic brand are Sentebale’s biggest threat, just like they’ve trashed the Invictus Games with their selfish toxic nonsense. The Invictus Games is falling apart because of Harry’s antics. Sponsors are have to be begged to stay—Help for Heroes removed by the UK Ministry of Defence in 2022, and it’s obvious they were sick of the Games being a PR stunt under Harry’s reckless watch. Then Amazon bailed before the 2025 Vancouver Games, fed up with Harry and Meghan’s outrageous demands—like a $300,000 speaking fee for Meghan—and their shady finances and the toxicity they bring because Harry insists she attend and continues to make it about her self promotion. Athletes and staff are furious, many veterans can’t stand how the Games revolve around Harry & Meghan’s ego trip, and PR games. Dr. Sophie saw this trainwreck coming, and it’s crystal clear Harry’s toxicity is torching everything he touches. Free security, luxury accommodation at no cost, free Private jet travel, free designer clothing etc These are the perks Harry and Meghan have reaped from the Invictus Games. But what benefits have the veterans seen in recent years? No free travel, no free meals, no free lodging & no free equipment expenses. Dr Sophie is absolutely right to call out Harry’s blatant disregard for Charity Commission rules, as he consistently flouts proper governance by handpicking loyal cronies to fill key roles. Rather than appointing qualified, independent overseers, Harry surrounds himself with yes-men—sycophants who’ll rubber-stamp his decisions and bend to his every whim. These are people who’ll happily mark their own homework, ensuring no real accountability exists, and who’ll prioritise Harry’s ego over the charity’s mission. Would you believe an AI agent can test a real VR action game in real time, the way a person plays it? Meta XR Operator makes it possible. As far as I know, this is the first time. I am not talking about tapping a menu or replaying a recorded click path, but genuinely moving, shooting, and using the same game mechanics a human player does. In NeonReach VR, which is a real (and open source) action game, rings spawn 12m out and come at you somewhere between 1.5 and 5.5 m/s, getting faster over a 90 second ramp. There are three kinds: straight, weaving side to side, and spinning. Every shot is a full slingshot cycle, so you press, pull back, aim, then release. Obstacles arrive at head height and cost you a life if you don't get out of the way. You have ten lives. Here is why the game is hard for an AI agent. Even though Meta XR Operator gives the agent everything it needs to observe the app and act inside it, the agent still cannot play. One agent turn takes 10 to 15 seconds. One throw is four steps that have to happen in order, because the press has to latch before the pull, and they cannot be batched into a single call. So a throw costs about 45 seconds. A fast ring only exists for 2.3 seconds. One action takes 20x longer than the target is alive. Prompt tuning does not close a gap that size. What works is a three stage path: EXPLORATION, then SKILL, then SCRIPT. 1/ EXPLORATION. The agent drives the live app and works the game out on its own. It verified the coordinate mapping by setting a pose and reading it back, then derived the launch model. The more useful output was the traps it found. For example, the player's own body collider silently deflects a ball released inside it, with no error and no log line. That produced two confident wrong conclusions before anyone caught them. 2/ SKILL. All of that gets written down as a reusable SKILL.md plus an aim solver. There is a section that separates what was actually verified from what was assumed, so a wrong conclusion cannot quietly turn into doctrine. This stage also produced the trick that mattered. Set timeScale to 0 and a throw becomes atomic in game time, so however long the agent spends thinking never shows up in the shot. 3/ SCRIPT. The result is that it plays like a person, which you can see from the attached video. It tracks the rings, works out where each one is going, throws with whichever hand is free, moves out of the way of the obstacles, and does not wait around to see whether the last throw landed. Shipping settings, no difficulty edits, no health locks, no slow motion. It plays until it actually loses. The takeaway generalizes beyond games: an agent does not have to be the player. Even following the same rules as a player, it has too much latency between moves. Having the agent write the thing that acts bypasses that constraint entirely. A teeny tiny notice before I proceed with my analysis. If you have a problem with either Cihan or Alya, don't bother reading. Because I don't take sides. I don't watch or think or write through the lens of Alya vs Cihan. Both characters are dear to me. And, if that's the way you roll, by all means, proceed. Analyzing Episode 36. Season 2 aka Of Strengths, Weaknesses, and The Last Nail in the Coffin Evvveeettt. Another episode, another meltdown. Just another day in the CihAl fandom. Ngl, it took me two days to even think about writing my regular analysis post, because the negativity was more potent than usual. Or maybe my resistance is waning, who knows? But that's not what we're gonna focus on today. This day, we analyze the words and actions of the heart and soul of Uzak Sehir, aka Alya and Cihan Albora. But we'll do so within the framework of strengths and weaknesses, because to me, that's what really comes to the fore in ep36. Alya Albora Alya Albora was especially heartbreaking this episode. And coming from someone who gets their heartbroken regularly because of Alya, that's saying something. The episode starts with the zombie-man opening his eyes (I think this PoS is just lying there pretending to be a vegetable, but that's for another time). And the look Alya has on her face when she looks at Cihan is indescribable. Almost as if everything inside her is pleading, 'Please don't regress back to where we just came from.' Because she fears, even as she tries to check on the zombie, that the closer Frankenboran gets to waking up, the further Cihan will drift from her. And, to an extent, her fears are proven right when Sadakat brings up divorce again. See, Alya doesn't come from strong family roots. She believes her biological mother abandoned her for most of her adult life. Then she has Caroline, who tries to fill all the empty spaces abandonment leaves in little Alya, but doesn't manage to succeed too much. As I've said before, Alya's primary fears stem from being abandoned and being a burden. That's what she tries to protect herself from. Those walls around her heart are in place to keep her from suffering that same pain again. That's both her strength and her weakness. While the fear pushes Alya to love harder, to push past difficulties, to rise from the ashes over and over, it also makes her more aloof. She doesn't find it as difficult as Cihan to leave behind 'family' ties because she's never experienced just how forceful those bonds can be. When it falls to her to choose between her love for Cihan and whatever she had with Boran, she picks the former without much guilt. But there's another factor that helps keep her from feeling much remorse for Boran, and that's the way her former husband treats her. Before Alya finds out about the will, her anger at Cihan is at an all-time high, and there's no question of any relationship developing between the two. After the will, however, that's a different story. So, when it falls to her to choose, she can do so easily, with her conscience at rest. And we see that so clearly in the way she announces she won't return to Boran even when he wakes up. Now, let's focus on the tricky bit. The weaknesses. Because Alya fears being a burden, being imposed on someone, adding to their strain, anything other than clarity can't help but raise doubts. When Cihan doesn't answer her question of 'Where will you stand?' with a clear with you or with you, distrust raises its ugly head. She starts asking herself if their relationship is what Cihan really wants now that Boran is back in the picture. She starts wondering whether Cihan will be able to shoulder the burden their relationship will add to his already weighed-down shoulders. It's harrowing to watch her be drawn to Cihan one instant, and pull back the next. Not because she doesn't love him, but because she can't bear to be another weight on Cihan's existence. That's what we see when she's shivering with fever. She wants him close, but she also doesn't want him to suffer. She keeps asking Cihan to leave, but he refuses to budge. And, that cures and hurts at the same time. For some reason, when she says, 'I'm also trying to find a way,' I couldn't help but feel that a part of her is already reverting back to the old Alya. The longer Cihan refrains from giving Alya a clear answer, the more her doubts grow. The more their 'impossibility' takes over her love. The closer she grows to wanting to leave. This time, if she attempts to leave, it won't be because her feelings overwhelm her. It'll be because she can't bear to see Cihan hurt anymore. Cihan Albora Oh boy. I can already hear the jeers of 'coward' and 'gavat' (which, by the way, I find to be a really ugly word) ringing in my ears. Well, fcuk that. Let's get back to our analysis. I talked about how Cihan seems to be stuck between suppression and surrender when it comes to his guilt. And, I did think that almost losing Alya would break that spell. But, clearly, that's not the road that Gulizar wants to take. Perhaps she does want it to come down to conflict. I'm not sure yet. What I am sure of is that Cihan is already aware of what he wants. And it's not wanting to be BFFs with Boran at the expense of Alya, guilt be damned. You can see it in the way his answers get bolder every time Sadakat asks him about a divorce. This episode is the first time Cihan states outright that the burden of 'conscience' isn't his to bear because he merely did what Boran asked of him. In other words, he didn't plan on falling in love with Alya, but it happened, and if there's any blame in that, it's not on him or Alya. Here's what irks most people. He doesn't ever talk about what he wants. It's always 'What if Boran wants this' or 'What if Boran wants that.' In other words, it's a form of misdirection on his part. He knows what's in his heart, but he doesn't want to say it out loud. Another scene where you can clearly see what his choice will be is when he's taking care of Alya during her fever. The more Alya insists that he leave, the more he digs in his heels. Until finally, he says, 'I won't allow anyone to hurt you, I won't allow anyone to harm you, and that's how it will be until I draw my last breath.' People don't say things like. 'That's how it'll be as long as I live,' if they're not sure about what they want. This is Cihan's strength. His love, protective instincts, and his code of sticking up for the people he loves. Unfortunately, like Alya, that's also his weakness. Cihan's been trained to fight for his family and his people to his very last. And, that's one HUGE reason why he can't verbalize what's already screaming inside his mind and his heart. We know he can't live without Alya, he says as much in the last episode. He keeps buying time because he knows once he states those words - there's no turning back. And he knows exactly how ugly things could go because dealing with ugly has been his entire existence. People won't be kind to him or Alya in the place where they live (think back to how Demir sends his goons to insult Alya's mom). And besides all that, what if Boran doesn't want to let go? That's when shit will truly hit the fan, because once Cihan says he's with Alya, he'll be fighting his brother, standing up to his mother, breaking his family apart, endangering Albora with internal strife, and worst of all, risking Alya and Deniz's safety. And remember, unlike Alya, who can control her conscience because of an extenuating factor, Cihan has no such relief. So, what you see is a man trying to survive an impending hurricane in a straw hut. He knows when that storm hits, and it will, things will go to hell. Besides all that, there is his stupid conscience that just won't shut the hell up because of that code of his. To me, that's not cowardice. That's a man standing at the edge of a life-changing truth, and being undone by the gravity of it. It's almost as if his soul is negotiating with reality, hoping to avoid collateral damage, while grieving for the version of himself he knows won't survive after he states his truth. As we can see in the scene where he and Alya are saying goodbye, they're already a family. His heart has already made the choice, so much so that in that scene, even Sadakat and Nare see the invisible bonds tying Cihan to Alya and vice versa. It's not a question of if, merely when. The Last Nail in the Coffin The question on everyone's mind is, what will it be? The last nail in the coffin of Cihan and Boran's brotherhood. The point of no return. To me, the way things are shaping up, there will be a clash. Will the showdown happen when Boran wakes up, or will Cihan learn the truth about his brother and finally be set free? I don't know. I've always had the inkling that Boran isn't what he claims to be. I guess we'll find out soon. But until then, I'll be watching. Gladly. For both my babies. As I've said before, Alya's primary fears stem from being abandoned and being a burden. That's what she tries to protect herself from. Those walls around her heart are in place to keep her from suffering that same pain again. That's both her strength and her weakness. While the fear pushes Alya to love harder, to push past difficulties, to rise from the ashes over and over, it also makes her more aloof. She doesn't find it as difficult as Cihan to leave behind 'family' ties because she's never experienced just how forceful those bonds can be. When it falls to her to choose between her love for Cihan and whatever she had with Boran, she picks the former without much guilt. But there's another factor that helps keep her from feeling much remorse for Boran, and that's the way her former husband treats her. Before Alya finds out about the will, her anger at Cihan is at an all-time high, and there's no question of any relationship developing between the two. After the will, however, that's a different story. So, when it falls to her to choose, she can do so easily, with her conscience at rest. And we see that so clearly in the way she announces she won't return to Boran even when he wakes up. Now, let's focus on the tricky bit. The weaknesses. Because Alya fears being a burden, being imposed on someone, adding to their strain, anything other than clarity can't help but raise doubts. When Cihan doesn't answer her question of 'Where will you stand?' with a clear with you or with you, distrust raises its ugly head. She starts asking herself if their relationship is what Cihan really wants now that Boran is back in the picture. She starts wondering whether Cihan will be able to shoulder the burden their relationship will add to his already weighed-down shoulders. It's harrowing to watch her be drawn to Cihan one instant, and pull back the next. Not because she doesn't love him, but because she can't bear to be another weight on Cihan's existence. That's what we see when she's shivering with fever. She wants him close, but she also doesn't want him to suffer. She keeps asking Cihan to leave, but he refuses to budge. And, that cures and hurts at the same time. For some reason, when she says, 'I'm also trying to find a way,' I couldn't help but feel that a part of her is already reverting back to the old Alya. The longer Cihan refrains from giving Alya a clear answer, the more her doubts grow. The more their 'impossibility' takes over her love. The closer she grows to wanting to leave. This time, if she attempts to leave, it won't be because her feelings overwhelm her. It'll be because she can't bear to see Cihan hurt anymore. Cihan Albora Oh boy. I can already hear the jeers of 'coward' and 'gavat' (which, by the way, I find to be a really ugly word) ringing in my ears. Well, fcuk that. Let's get back to our analysis. I talked about how Cihan seems to be stuck between suppression and surrender when it comes to his guilt. And, I did think that almost losing Alya would break that spell. But, clearly, that's not the road that Gulizar wants to take. Perhaps she does want it to come down to conflict. I'm not sure yet. What I am sure of is that Cihan is already aware of what he wants. And it's not wanting to be BFFs with Boran at the expense of Alya, guilt be damned. You can see it in the way his answers get bolder every time Sadakat asks him about a divorce. This episode is the first time Cihan states outright that the burden of 'conscience' isn't his to bear because he merely did what Boran asked of him. In other words, he didn't plan on falling in love with Alya, but it happened, and if there's any blame in that, it's not on him or Alya. Here's what irks most people. He doesn't ever talk about what he wants. It's always 'What if Boran wants this' or 'What if Boran wants that.' In other words, it's a form of misdirection on his part. He knows what's in his heart, but he doesn't want to say it out loud. Another scene where you can clearly see what his choice will be is when he's taking care of Alya during her fever. The more Alya insists that he leave, the more he digs in his heels. Until finally, he says, 'I won't allow anyone to hurt you, I won't allow anyone to harm you, and that's how it will be until I draw my last breath.' People don't say things like. 'That's how it'll be as long as I live,' if they're not sure about what they want. This is Cihan's strength. His love, protective instincts, and his code of sticking up for the people he loves. Unfortunately, like Alya, that's also his weakness. Cihan's been trained to fight for his family and his people to his very last. And, that's one HUGE reason why he can't verbalize what's already screaming inside his mind and his heart. We know he can't live without Alya, he says as much in the last episode. He keeps buying time because he knows once he states those words - there's no turning back. And he knows exactly how ugly things could go because dealing with ugly has been his entire existence. People won't be kind to him or Alya in the place where they live (think back to how Demir sends his goons to insult Alya's mom). And besides all that, what if Boran doesn't want to let go? That's when shit will truly hit the fan, because once Cihan says he's with Alya, he'll be fighting his brother, standing up to his mother, breaking his family apart, endangering Albora with internal strife, and worst of all, risking Alya and Deniz's safety. And remember, unlike Alya, who can control her conscience because of an extenuating factor, Cihan has no such relief. So, what you see is a man trying to survive an impending hurricane in a straw hut. He knows when that storm hits, and it will, things will go to hell. Besides all that, there is his stupid conscience that just won't shut the hell up because of that code of his. To me, that's not cowardice. That's a man standing at the edge of a life-changing truth, and being undone by the gravity of it. It's almost as if his soul is negotiating with reality, hoping to avoid collateral damage, while grieving for the version of himself he knows won't survive after he states his truth. As we can see in the scene where he and Alya are saying goodbye, they're already a family. His heart has already made the choice, so much so that in that scene, even Sadakat and Nare see the invisible bonds tying Cihan to Alya and vice versa. It's not a question of if, merely when. The Last Nail in the Coffin The question on everyone's mind is, what will it be? The last nail in the coffin of Cihan and Boran's brotherhood. The point of no return. To me, the way things are shaping up, there will be a clash. Will the showdown happen when Boran wakes up, or will Cihan learn the truth about his brother and finally be set free? I don't know. I've always had the inkling that Boran isn't what he claims to be. I guess we'll find out soon. But until then, I'll be watching. Gladly. For both my babies.
