"They (the AFL) are zeroing in on a Round One type of fixture where all 18 clubs will be involved." "It will still be weighted very heavily towards the northern states to make sure they get the boost they really want."

🚨🏳️‍⚧️🏉 “This whole thing is a farce. There is absolutely no consideration for the safety of female players on the field.” Our Head of Advocacy Stephanie Bastiaan spoke to Rita Panahi on News24 Australia about the safety concerns raised by multiple clubs regarding a trans-identifying male player in the Adelaide women’s footy league and how the AFL must urgently amend its policy to ensure female-only sport. 📒 We sent our comprehensive report, ‘A Fair Playing Field: Protecting Women’s Single-Sex Sport’, to MPs and sporting organisations in 2022, including the AFL and Sports Minister Anika Wells MP. We have also written to AFL CEO Andrew Dillon and Minister Wells, as well as Women's Minister Katy Gallagher, this week in light of these developments. How many more years must pass, how many more injuries must occur, and how many more women and girls must self-exclude from their own sports before we see action on this issue? ⬇️ Download our report here: ✉️ Read our letter to the AFL CEO: ✉️ Read our letter to the Ministers: #SaveWomensSports #Auspol
