[WATCH] The importance of security systems including intelligence cannot be overemphasized to safeguard our political and economic freedom. In Africa, continental instruments such as the Africa Continental Free Trade Area will serve as gateway to intra-Africa trade as well as trade with other countries of the South and the developed economies. The AU must be canvassed to formulate think tanks that will become moral and intellectual custodians of our development trajectory as a continent. Africa must develop resilience to militarily defend itself against neocolonialism. #ANCatWork

We continue our international meetings in the framework of the Munich Security Conference. I had a meeting with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof Rob Jetten. Our discussion focused on united diplomacy, the development of reliable security guarantees, the real situation on the battlefield, and defense needs. We also spoke about support for our citizens forced to leave Ukraine due to Russian aggression. I am grateful to the Netherlands for our joint efforts within the Ramstein format and for ensuring that aid to Ukraine does not decrease after three years of war. 🇺🇦 🇳🇱

Our first meeting with Prime Minister Keir Starmer in the format of a strategic dialogue. Today, we signed the Ukraine-UK Enhanced Security and Defence Industrial Collaboration Declaration. This is an important step to strengthen our defence. I informed the Prime Minister about the situation on the frontline, Russian attacks, and our needs to protect lives. We discussed the development of joint defence production and strengthening Ukraine’s air defence with additional missiles for air defence systems. Of course, we also touched on the situation in the Middle East. I thank the United Kingdom and personally Keir Starmer for the support. We in Ukraine sincerely appreciate it.
