Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, DR Congo, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Mozambique will be affected by the split between the Nubian and Somali plates. The plates are diverging by 7 mm every year. It is estimated the complete split of Africa will happen in the next 5 to 10 million years paving a way for a new ocean.

@AfricaFactsZone Sorry point of correction Mr Commentator Sir Lake Victoria is a Down wapped Lake not a Rift Valley Lake. Just for clarity so that next time you don't confuse us. Also please do come visit Uganda so that you can know the difference between Lake Albert and Lake Victoria 🙏.
