Cameroon’s Military Caught on Camera Committing Atrocities in Ambazonia Today, undeniable evidence surfaced exposing the **Cameroon military’s elite unit, the BIR**, firing live bullets at unarmed civilians in Ambazonia communities. In this shocking footage, civilians, including women and children, can be seen fleeing into the mountains to escape indiscriminate gunfire. This horrifying act is yet another addition to Cameroon’s long list of war crimes and genocidal actions against the people of Ambazonia. This atrocity comes as no surprise to those familiar with Cameroon’s brutal tactics. In 2020, the **BBC caught Cameroonian soldiers on camera setting schools and communities ablaze** and embarking on killing sprees. These deliberate actions are designed to terrorize and eradicate Ambazonian identity, leaving thousands dead and millions displaced. A Systematic Campaign of Genocide** Cameroon’s war against Ambazonia is not just a conflict—it is genocide. Over **3.000 villages have been destroyed**, with tens of thousands of civilians killed and millions forced into exile. The footage of today’s atrocity confirms what Ambazonians have been crying out for years: the **Cameroon military is committing war crimes in plain sight, shielded by impunity and silence from the international community.** We Demand Accountability** To the **United Nations (United Nations, António Guterres, United NationsHumanRights)**: How much more evidence is needed before action is taken to stop Cameroon’s crimes? Your silence is deafening, and it emboldens tyrants. To the **African Union (Moussa Faki Mahamat, African Union Political Affairs Peace and Security)**: Why does Africa’s leadership remain silent while Cameroon commits atrocities against its own people? To the **Commonwealth of Nations (The Commonwealth)**: How can Cameroon, a member state, continue its membership while carrying out genocide against Ambazonians? To **Norway (Norway MFA, Anniken Huitfeldt, Espen Barth Eide)**: Your collaboration with Cameroon to target Ambazonian leaders is a betrayal of justice. How do you justify ignoring Cameroon’s war crimes while targeting those seeking peace? A Call for Immediate Action The international community can no longer remain silent. We demand: - **A full investigation into today’s atrocities and Cameroon’s systematic war crimes in Ambazonia.** - **Immediate sanctions on the Cameroonian government and military officials responsible for these crimes.** - **Protection and humanitarian aid for Ambazonian civilians fleeing violence.** **Cameroon’s military has been caught on camera committing atrocities. This footage is undeniable proof of its genocidal campaign against Ambazonians.** To ignore these crimes is to side with the oppressor. **#StopCameroonGenocide #JusticeForAmbazonia #CameroonWarCrimes #HoldCameroonAccountable** The time for action is now. Keir Starmer has proved to be completely USELESS — but he’s been a great recruiter for The Free Speech Union. This is the most AUTHORITARIAN government in a generation, and more and more people are concerned that their right to free speech is under attack. We’ve grown from 14,000 members at the time of the last election to over 40,000 today. Our staff has grown from 17 to 25 over the course of this year alone. Since the Free Speech Union was founded in February 2020, we’ve handled more than 5,100 cases — including 1,800 this year. The government insists that employers urge their employees to join a union. We urge you to join Britain’s fastest-growing union. Join the Free Speech Union today 👇

President John Mahama says expanding the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to include Caribbean nations will be one of his key priorities when Ghana assumes the chairmanship of the African Union next year. Speaking during bilateral talks with Jamaica's Governor-General, Sir Patrick Allen, at King's House in Kingston, President Mahama said broadening the scope of AfCFTA would create a framework for Africa and the Caribbean to trade goods on a duty-free and tariff-free basis, strengthen economic ties between Africa and the region, and unlock new opportunities for trade and investment. #JoyNews

“Free Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela has been in prison for 25 years. What is Nelson Mandela’s offence? We want to know. All Black people of this universe want Nelson Mandela to be free. We need our Mandela.” — The iconic intro by legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Nana Kwame Ampadu during his performance with the African Brothers International Band in Chicago in 1987, before singing ‘Free Nelson Mandela,’ a song he composed for the late former South African President while he was held in prison for 25 years

How can Pretoria lecture the world on human rights violations in Israel while laundering hatred against fellow Africans at home? Respect to Nigerian delegates in Lilongwe for stripping the mask off South African hypocrisy. We can no longer sit side by side with South African officials at summits pretending like nothing is happening. The SA government is leading a hidden xenophobic campaign while lecturing the world on Israel’s human rights abuses. Pure hypocrisy. How will Europe, the Americas, or Asia take Africa seriously when we can't put our house in order? Xenophobia is an AU Charter violation, just like the wars in Sudan and Congo. If the African Union was a serious, functional body like the European Union, South Africa would have been suspended long ago. Instead, the AU has turned into a shield for dictators, a shield for malice, protecting those in power rather than ordinary African citizens

The Free Speech Union has mixed feelings about Sir Keir Starmer’s departure as Prime Minister. On the one hand, he was no friend of free speech. On the other, he has been an outstanding recruiting sergeant for the FSU. Since he came to power in July 2024, the Free Speech Union’s membership has grown from 14,000 to 45,000. Unfortunately, we have little faith that Andy Burnham will be any better when it comes to free speech. Burnham has already called for greater restrictions on social media, and the Representation of the People Bill is likely to contain all kinds of threats to free speech. There is also no indication that he will abandon plans to ban “conversion therapy”, legislation that could see parents investigated or even prosecuted for conversations with their gender-confused children. It won’t be long before Sir Keir hands the authoritarian lanyard to Andy. The Free Speech Union will be watching closely. Watch Lord Young’s reaction to the Prime Minister’s resignation below 👇

Since the Free Speech Union was founded in February 2020, we’ve fought over 5,600 cases. Where those cases have reached a conclusion, we’ve been successful in around 80 per cent of them. It has never been more important than it is today to stand up for free speech. Hear from our great friend Allison Pearson at our 6th anniversary party on why you should join as a member 👇
