After 2+ years obsessively documenting obsolete Mac music software, I turn my attention to audio plugin formats such as VST (Steinberg), AudioSuite/RTAS (Digidesign), MAS (Digital Performer), Audio Unit (Apple) — and hopefully one day TDM (Digidesign) #vst #synth #midi #effects

Plugins have always been on my to-do list to spotlight on the blog so I’m keen to get started with them. This may take a while given how many plugins I have! It’s a marvel to keep these 30+ year old apps still ticking away sounding just as fantastic as they did during the 90s ~

These videos feature VSTs from a very long time ago, running on Bias Peak 2.5. I’m sure oldschool computer music heads will recognise many of these 🤓

Oh yeah I love MN! His new plugins don’t work on my old Macs but I cherish his early stuff he did in the late 90s for an application called SoundMaker
