Another massive Russian attack may happen tonight. It is important to pay attention to air raid alerts and go to shelters when necessary. The Russians haven’t changed one bit. They are trying to exploit the harsh winter weather, which has worsened significantly across many of our regions and is causing serious problems on the roads and with utilities. Right now, Russia is betting more on winter than on diplomacy — on ballistic missiles against our energy system rather than on working with the United States and agreements with President Trump. This must change – through pressure on Russia and continued support for Ukraine. Thank you to everyone who sees the situation for what it is. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine.

NOAA’s National Weather Service Winter Outlook has been released. This outlook shows the likely temperature and precipitation the U.S. could experience during meteorological winter (December 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026) and drought conditions through January 31, 2026. Here are the highlights: 🌎La Niña conditions are expected to develop later this fall and will be a factor in the winter outlook. 🌡️A milder-than-average winter is favored across the southern tier of the country and along the Eastern Seaboard. 💧Wetter-than-average conditions for the Ohio Valley and southern Great Lakes region, along with most of Alaska, are also favored. Drier-than-average conditions are forecast in the desert Southwest, along the Gulf Coast, and from Florida to the Carolinas. 🌤️Drought conditions are expected to persist and worsen from southern Texas to California. NOAA’s seasonal outlooks provide the likelihood that average temperature and total precipitation for the three-month period will be above-, near- or below-average and how drought conditions are anticipated to change in the months ahead. Keep In Mind: The outlook does not project seasonal snowfall accumulations as snow forecasts are generally not predictable more than a week in advance, and cold weather can still be experienced in areas that are warmer-than-normal over the course of the season.

FSD v14.2.1 + WINTER CONDITIONS UPDATE With yet another winter storm bearing down on the Upper Midwest, I wanted to remind everyone to stay vigilant when using FSD v14.2.1, especially in snowy conditions. While this build performs far better than any previous FSD version in winter weather (thank you Tesla AI for all the hard work!), there's a notable issue when transitioning from clear pavement to partially snow-covered surfaces—particularly during automatic lane changes at speeds >40mph. Once the lane change begins, the car starts swerving side-to-side, and the longer it continues, the more pronounced the hunting behavior becomes as it searches for drivable space. Earlier this week, I encountered this a few times during a mild snowstorm. With a lifetime of winter driving experience here in Minnesota, I decided to observe how far it would go. I was surprised that the system didn't disengage on its own, as it eventually put the car into a full slide toward the barrier, requiring my intervention. If you notice this behavior, I strongly recommend disengaging early and completing the lane change manually before re-engaging the system.

Meet Bolt, our newest Toronto Police K9 police dog who wasted no time proving himself!⚡️🐾 After 22 Division officers stopped a stolen vehicle, the driver tried to escape on foot. Guided by our TPS Communications dispatcher, Bolt and his handler got to work, quickly tracking down the suspect inside of an oversized garbage bin (who was in breach of release conditions on previous car thefts.) Great job to all the officers and dispatchers involved, including our new star Bolt!
