But some families are still searching for answers and want a wider review into the hospital's maternity and neonatal units. Carl Bolton's daughter was treated by Lucy Letby in 2016. He says he wasn't aware at the time that his baby was in a life-threatening situation. Former advanced neonatal practitioner Michele Worden worked at the hospital until 2007 and has been raising concerns about the unit since long before Letby's arrest.

She has won £1.4m of compensation after being unfairly dismissed for trying to raise concerns about the management team. Dr Gilby said it lacked the “curiosity” and “urgency” to understand the circumstances around the babies’ deaths.
