For me, it's very annoying. I sometimes have to align or need another panel but the property panel always shows up when I select a layer. Is there a way to turn off this feature? I tried to close the property panel but it pops back when a layer is selected.

I'm not sure how you could disable it at the moment, might just take some getting used to!

did u know u can open all keyframed properties by pressing U ? (this shortcut has been on AE for years)
