I don't like this reaction and ending. This shows her daughter that all she has to do is have a tantrum only to be rewarded with the spotlight.

This is sad, not inspiring. Couldn’t a partner take care of his own child and let the woman have a personal and very important moment? “She was the real winner” is a poor excuse to not feel too disappointed in all this.

I'm sorry but this is why motherhood is often so hard for women. In order to not feel like bad people, we sacrifice everything for things that don't require that at all. Kids cry all the time and this wasn't an emergency. A father would've understood that it's best to let the child be a child and complete what has taken him years to perfect, so that then the child and many others can be inspired by it. This woman sacrificed so much for *nothing*.
