LIV Golf have just announced their first ever mid-season transfer window for trading players between teams. For one month starting at midnight tonight, captains can make straight transfers of players under contract, but with no compensation. Teams can also extend the contracts of players who’s deals run out this year for future seasons. Wildcards are not eligible for the transfer window. While this is an interesting development, they need to be open with contract deadlines. LIV can’t expect fans to buy into this when we don’t know who’s deals run out this year, or who’s eligible for relegation. Transparency and authenticity is essential if this team concept is to take off.
