🚨Fabrizio Romano confirms Sandro Tonali to Manchester United — HERE WE GO! 🔴 🗣️ “Sandro Tonali to Manchester United, here we go! After recent enquiries from Tottenham Hotspur and interest from several top European clubs, Manchester United have decided to accelerate negotiations and reach a full agreement with Newcastle United. The deal is understood to be worth around £80 million plus add-ons, with all major terms now agreed between the clubs. Manchester United viewed Tonali as one of the priority targets to strengthen the midfield and were determined not to let the opportunity slip away. The player has already approved the move and is excited by the project being built at Old Trafford. Inside the club, Tonali is regarded as one of the most complete midfielders in Europe. His leadership, technical quality, defensive awareness and ability to control matches made him a key target for the recruitment team. Newcastle were reluctant to sell and held firm during negotiations, but Manchester United’s persistence eventually led to a breakthrough. Tottenham made enquiries in recent weeks and explored the conditions of a potential deal, but the player made it clear that his preferred destination was Manchester United. Tonali believes the opportunity to become a central figure in the next chapter of Manchester United’s history was too important to turn down. Personal terms have been agreed and the final documents are being prepared. Medical tests are expected to take place shortly before the transfer is officially announced. Manchester United see Tonali as a player capable of transforming the midfield immediately and helping the team compete at the highest level once again. The Italian midfielder is set to become Michael Carrick’s second signing as Manchester United manager. A huge statement signing. Sandro Tonali to Manchester United — HERE WE GO! 🔴✅” {Fabrizio Romano }

🚨🗣️ Gary Neville on Michael Carrick and Manchester United’s performance against Manchester City: 🗣️“I’ve got to be honest. I think Michael Carrick has to go now. He’s not the right man for the job. That performance today was a disgrace for a club like Manchester United. Manchester City were down to 10 men from the 23rd minute and United still couldn’t take advantage. We barely created a big chance. There was no urgency, no control, no attacking quality and, most importantly, no clear idea of how to break them down. You cannot play against 10 men for that long and come away looking like the team with fewer players. Manchester United should have dominated that game, but City looked more comfortable. I’m also really concerned about some of the new signings. Tielemans was nowhere near good enough today. I expected much more from him, but his performance was poor. Santos may not have played today, but United have to start asking whether these signings are good enough to take this club forward. This isn’t about one bad result anymore. It’s about the direction of the team. I don’t see enough from Carrick to convince me he is the right manager for Manchester United. The club has to make a decision now. You cannot keep accepting performances like this. Manchester United need a manager who can give them an identity, make them competitive and get the best out of these players. Today was embarrassing. City had 10 men for over an hour and United still couldn’t create anything. That tells you everything you need to know.”

🚨Steve Holland on Manchester United’s plans for Lisandro Martínez following his recent injury ahead of the transfer window. 🎙️ Reporter: “Steve, what is the club’s position on Lisandro Martínez after his latest injury?” 🗣️ Steve Holland: “First of all, everyone at Manchester United stands behind Lisandro Martínez. There’s no doubt he’s an important player for this football club. His character, commitment, and quality have never been in question, and we’ll continue to support him throughout his recovery. “That said, when you’re building a squad with the ambition of winning the Premier League over the next two or three years, you have to make difficult decisions. We need a squad that can compete at the highest level every single week. “Lisandro is an outstanding footballer, but the reality is that availability is one of the most important qualities in this game. We need players we can rely on week in, week out, through the demands of a long season. “That doesn’t mean we’re giving up on him. It simply means the club has to prepare for every situation. We’ll continue to explore options in the transfer market to strengthen the squad because successful teams need depth and competition in every position. “Our objective is to build a team capable of challenging for every major trophy. To do that, we need quality, consistency, and players who can be counted on throughout the season. That’s the standard at Manchester United, and every decision we make will be with that goal in mind.”
