if you use claude code, this will save you real money. the problem: every time you make an edit, your ai rereads the whole codebase to figure out what changed. tens of thousands of tokens, every turn, for context it already had. this repo fixes it. it’s called code review graph, and it just maps your entire codebase: every file, every function, every connection laid out so you can see the actual shape of your project how to set up (2 min): 1. pip install code-review-graph 2. code-review-graph install - auto-configures Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI + more 3. code-review-graph build change one function, and it traces exactly what that touches... every caller, every dependent file, every test. your ai only reads what's affected, not the whole repo. and the savings are wild. a task that used to burn ~100,000 tokens (about a dollar) now runs closer to a penny.

Not relying on a LLM in your code editor? That doesn't make you smarter. All the opposite actually. You're actively refusing to increase your productivity and buy your time back for the sake of outdated habits. Because at the very least, a LLM helps you write tons of boilerplate/mundane code. If you don't want to pay, there are free alternatives to GitHub Copilot. You have no excuse. Don't be that grumpy developer who thinks being negative about trendy tech is cool.

My project has 39,205 lines of code, and Cursor can't answer questions about it. Cursor's context seems to be capped at around 10,000 tokens. Unfortunately, this is not enough for any decent-sized project. If you have a large codebase, check out Augment Code. This thing is faaaast! I'm currently using their Visual Studio Code plugin, but you can also use them on JetBrains, Neovim, and even Vim. (I'm a Neovim fan, but Copilot's implementation for Neovim is nowhere as good as Augment Code.) Augment Code was gracious enough to sponsor this post. After you install their extension and run it for the first time, it will index your entire codebase. This is why it can answer questions as fast as it does, regardless of the size of your codebase. Augment Code supports chat and completions like every other AI coding assistant, but its killer feature is "Next Edit." When you make a change, two things happen: 1. The model analyzes the change to determine the ripple effects across your *entire* codebase. 2. The model suggests everything you need to update to ensure everything works correctly. This is pretty wild!

A lot of elected officials are still silent in response to what occurred in Toronto this weekend. Why does antisemitism continuously get a free pass to override our laws and safety? It seems our government holds no space for hate, unless Jews are the target. To those in a position of power, wake up and start doing your job. It is because of your lack of leadership and inability to act with moral clarity that has brought us here. 8 months of this nonsense. No more lip service and empty platitudes. We have a criminal code, we have laws. Enforce them.
