The confusion about whether former Eagles OC, Kevin Patullo, was fired or not isn't that confusing. They never used the word fired. In short, they care about him, value what he has done for the organization, and are allowing him to weigh his options and decide if he wants to come back in a different role. Philadelphia, & their entire front office, are a class org. They value people, respect them, and treat them right. They also know what he has meant to their 2 Super Bowls runs, despite not working out at OC. The players who praised him all season and after the wild-card loss do so with sincerity. It is not lip service or professionalism. They genuinely respect him. Almost every player was asked about him after their loss, nobody wavered in their praise for him. Nick has explained what they are doing, and the players have expressed their role in the season's struggles. Below is from right after the game.

Today, I travelled for over 3 hours to Agona Odoben in the Central Region to meet 5-year-old twins, Robert and Roberta. They have been abandoned by both parents and live with their grandmother, who is doing her best but simply does not have the means. They are currently not in school because of this, and even basic things like food and clothing are a struggle. I got to know about them through my friend Kelvin, and I just knew I had to show up for them. So today, we went to see them and began the process of enrolling them in school. We have made arrangements for their uniforms and learning materials to enable them to start school this month. It really does take one moment, and people choosing to care, to change the entire course of a child’s life for good. Robert and Roberta deserve a chance at a better future, and we are going to do everything we can to make sure they get it. ❤️

This couple sold their home and everything in it in 2019 and moved to Georgia where the husband was relocated for work. They moved into their 5th wheel Keystone RV full time and have been doing it for six years now. They planned on doing this for their retirement but decided to do it earlier because of the relocation. Now they spend their time traveling the country and checking things off their bucket list. They spend their summers at their family farm. They miss their adult children but the children meet up with them and sometimes travel with them. Some say they are jealous and this is their dream too but others say you should never sell your house because houses are gold right now and what if you get tired of traveling or sick and RV’s depreciate significantly. I choked up. I cried. I mourned. It just happened. I’m not a cryer, certainly not in public, but in Vienna last week and today at the Danube River in Budapest, I couldn’t hold back my tears. It’s painful to stand on holy ground where our people were murdered for the “crime” of being Jewish. The shoes on the Danube are a memorial to the Hungarian Jews who, in the winter of 1944-1945, were shot by the members of the Arrow Cross Party aligned with the nazis. Men, women and children were forced to remove their shoes, so their murderers could sell/use them, then they were shot in cold blood with their bodies falling into the river which became known as the Cemetery of the Jews. Chavie and I, along with the kids said verses of Torah at this location, and sang Ani Maamin, proclaiming our firm faith in the coming of Mashiach amid our pain. It’s ok to cry. It’s ok to mourn. It’s ok to know that our people have been through hell. Yet, we are strong, we are bright, we are determined to live life and to finally bring Mashiach.
