Why do we have inflation? The Fed tries to force 2% inflation. It wasn’t always this way. “The natural tendency for prices is to go down. If you look at the CPI in 1900 and you look at it in 1800, it was down by 50%. So for a hundred years in America, prices went down. And during that time, we had the Industrial Revolution.” “We had the most rapid period of economic growth in the history of America, which was after the Civil War and into the early 1900s. All the time prices were coming down.” “Today, the Federal Reserve says that we need to have 2 % inflation. Prices have to go up 2 % a year. Why? I mean, why does the cost of living have to go up? Why can't it go down or at least remain the same? And what is the answer to that? What's the rationale for that?” “Well, they have a bunch of BS explanations and it's all to justify the fact that the government wants inflation. It's not that it's good for us. Today Lydia † 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and myself met with the Victims Minister and the Victims’ Commissioner for England and Wales to discuss how we can improve the criminal justice system across the country. We spoke about the need for law reform, better support for survivors, research into the experiences and needs of children born as a result of rape, and improved training for the professionals who work with them. We also discussed the urgent need to improve the housing system to ensure survivors are safe and properly supported. The Government must also begin holding professionals to account for the negligence and corruption that has failed victims across the UK. Survivors deserve justice, accountability, and meaningful change, not just promises.

If we do, we will have no safe space left, especially at a time when our nation is tackling security threats, neutralizing thousands of criminal elements, and rescuing hostages. The media should not become an amplifier for those who wish to harm us. There is always tension between the government and the press, but that is the nature of democracy. The government must act, the media must watch, the government must explain, and the media must question.

We talk about becoming a Singapore or a first-world nation, yet we are not educating our population. If we are serious about developing our country, we must invest in the education of our people. This was the logic behind curriculum reform and the introduction of CBC. We must make hard but necessary sacrifices, by managing the size of government, curbing wastage, and directing resources to our priorities like education.
