After winning I went for a 90 minute thai massage. Have found these crucial to sustainability in poker. Kept to myself in the interim between winning and the delayed stream finishing. Surreal experience. Watched dealer Kate deliver the final river card and then my phone started blowing up. I was in Madison Square Garden to witness the Rangers win the Stanley Cup in 1996. I was at Shea Stadium in 1969 and in 1986 to see the Mets win the World Series. I have been blessed beyond words to see sports magic happen live. I began my art journey in 2002 as a mature student, applying to Leith School of Art for their portfolio preparation year and then to Edinburgh College of Art for the 5 year MA Fine Art program. I was 38 years old at my graduation. My classmates called me 'Grandpa Jones', seriously. 😂 I spent the next 7 years working 3 or 4 jobs/100+ hours a week (waitering, art tutoring, charity director, Airbnb host) so I could pay for my very expensive painting habit and paint enough for an annual solo exhibition (that I had to organise and pay for myself for most of them as no commercial galleries were interested in QR code/AR tech infused paintings)... and every year but one I lost money. I was my accountants biggest loser over and over and over. 😅 So, from 32 to nearly 50 years old with my art career being a horrendous detriment to my financial future I questioned my life decisions... daily. But I never gave up. In fact, it was the opposite. With every rejection letter, with every let down and disappointment, with every financial loss, with every exhibition that didn't sell enough to even cover the costs of paint, canvas and framing, I pushed even harder. I worked even harder. I looked for new ways to differentiate myself from all the other artists around me and I invested everything I had into me and my future. Fortune favours the brave. If you're willing to put in the time, the work and the risk you will be rewarded. It may take 5 years, 10 years, 20 years or more but eventually, if you keep working and taking the risks that the rest are not willing to take (creatively and financially) you will succeed. Don't blame others for your failure. Take the knock backs, take the disappointments, take the rejections, and use them to drive you. If you are willing and able to commit 100% for however long it takes, you will succeed. This is a fact and I'm proof of that. Stop listening to the FUD, stop listening to those who don't believe in you. Show them how wrong they are. Again, it may take years, even decades, but fortune favours the bold and this is undeniable. Will you give up or will you keep pushing, learning, growing, expanding your ideas and your creative output? We said goodbye to my father today. George Mathew, known by Sunny to friends & family, was truly a one of one. From being born to unimaginable hardships in India, to coming to America with only $20 in his pocket ($7 of which that he spent on beer in London), to becoming a successful business man and father, he was the embodiment of “beating the odds” and living the American dream. I owe my life to his sacrifice. This is my favorite photo of us two, taken recently on my engagement this year. Dad was battling late stage cancer at this point but didn’t hesitate to be there on my special day because he wanted to see me mark the beginning of my new life as a grown man. And, even in that amazing moment, I was so excited to just get a hug and approval from my dad. Cheers to the honor of being your son and knowing we’ll get to dance together again in the future. " Bulkie Detective Blooper Preview " This is among the many bloopers I plan to have after a video that fully shows the prequel I posted in the past with a few blooper extras. It's gping to be on YouTube in the future. This was animated with Atlabs AI And I used the art of McTaylis to help make this ( I failed miserably, but I still like it and that it makes me laugh ). Anyway I hope you all get a laugh from this too. This may be my favorite bloopers among the batch if not among them. Also the characters name is Aurore ( I misspelled her name in a post where I Drew her by hand and I am seeing that over and over now... ) and she is very hot and belongs to McTaylis. Anomaa Bronii, my daughter in law, called me in the afternoon and said, ‘Mummy, I’m sorry I couldn’t be there today, but what did you cook?’ I said ‘Jollof, kebabs, spare ribs, spicy chicken, fried yam and plantain, goat meat stew, potato salad, lamb chops, Stephanie style, Gizzards and home made bread’. Writing this with eyes full of tears and a chest full of sorrow and pain My PET scan results came in and the tumor on my lungs that was few millimeters in size two months ago, is now 7x7cm and was labeled as very active So yes i’m in a cancer relapse, and it’s more aggressive than ever 💔 The hardest part for me is not the operations or pain or chemo sessions on endless nausea. To me it’s unintentionally dragging my family and friends and people around me into it with me.. I’m set to have my operation (biopsy) later this week or next week, to know exactly the type and level of cancer i have. Will keep you updated as always I will try to be as active and supportive as possible. Not going down without a fight Thank you so much for reading this and supporting, it means the world to me ❤️ Round 2 here we go
