NEW! The Mayor Katie B. Wilson was boots on the ground this morning after suddenly postponing the scheduled encampment sweep. Two schools of thought were in attendance, one being her own that we need more shelter and housing and the other being our own offering same-day treatment and available recovery housing. While we are encouraged Wilson is seeing for her own eyes what the situation looks like, she didn’t show interest when Timothy Emerson offered rides to treatment to those in attendance. We will ask for a follow up meeting.

This woman was trying to break into the fashion world. She and her photographer were going around NYC taking photographs that were bold and daring. She was in the process of taking this photo when a woman starts to yell at her about how she can’t work without looking out the window and seeing the young lady hanging onto the guard rail for a pose. She expressed she was worried she was going to fall. The young lady was more interested that the woman owns a magazine than she was about her own safety, she then proceeds to call her a Karen for their interaction. To me it seems like she was voicing honest concern, she wasn’t trying to cause an issue and it was in fact the actions of the young lady that was the cause of the distraction for those in the city that day. The nurse in charge of this woman’s care doesn’t seem to be taking her job seriously. The woman suffers from seizures. She was afraid that the nurse would neglect her so she set up her camera on her phone. She then proceeds to have multiple seizures while on camera. The nurse in charge of her was nowhere to be found but luckily another nurse walked by and saw what was going on and stepped in. The Dr let out a sigh in frustration that the woman was left alone like that while being cared for seizures. It’s one thing to be lazy and not like your job but when your job is caring over another life, the consequences need to be brutal, should she be fired and fined for her disregard for patients lives?
