This has resulted in the displacement of millions of people. There hasn’t been quite the level of anti-Israel invective in Ireland as one might expect since the beginning of this war. I would argue that this is because the Iranian community in Ireland have been making their perspectives heard have been essentially unanimous in opposition to the Islamic Regime and in support of the US and Israel (this isn’t written as a value judgement, it is written as a fact). Even RTÉ (!) had an Iranian woman on Morning Ireland this week who described Khamenei’s death as ‘one of the best days of my life since my son was born’. This perspective is coming as a surprise to a lot of Irish people, who would have incorrectly assumed that Iranians hate Israel. The Irish public have been profoundly let down by the Irish media/political establishments, which have simply not reported/commented on the Islamic Regime and its role in the Middle Eastern conflicts (especially Israel/Palestine) appropriately. When you have a media class lying by omission regarding the Islamic Regime’s destabilising of the region through its terror proxies, when you have a political class cosying up to the regime by choosing to open a new embassy in Tehran and writing sycophantic letters to the regime’s president…is it any wonder that Israel has been positioned as the ultimate villain in the region in Irish consciousness? The smashing of that narrative by Iranians themselves, is definitely taking many people here by surprise. I was in Tel Aviv at the outbreak of the previous war with Iran and filmed this video for my Irish acquaintances on Instagram after one of them sent me a nasty message asking why Israel was starting a war with another country that ‘hasn’t done anything to them’ (!). It is of course rudimentary information, but nonetheless it is information that has been almost entirely omitted in Irish public discourse on Israel/Palestine. It seems, thanks to Iranians living in Ireland, that omission has finally come to an end.

The bomb was constructed in Ireland, the detonator was made in their factory in Ireland, the car used was stolen from Ireland, and the bomb team disappeared back into Ireland afterwards. Against that background, the position adopted in 2024 by the Irish Tánaiste is striking. While pledging to be "fully cooperative", Micheál Martin insisted that one public inquiry into Omagh (committed to by the British Government) was "optimal" and that "two separate inquiries doesn't make sense because it would be clear overlap and duplication and crossing each other". The sister of a man killed in the Omagh bombing, who has launched a legal bid to force the Republic of Ireland to set up its own public inquiry, has branded the Irish government as "cold" and "defensive", showing "no empathy" and "no care".

🇨🇾🇮🇳 Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides took Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Green Line that divides the island between the free Republic of Cyprus and the Turkish-occupied territories. Do not underestimate the importance of this. It is a loud message to Erdogan that India is no longer taking a backseat while he supports Pakistan's occupation of Kashmir and its funding, arming, and training of terrorists. India is now a global power and is becoming involved in global issues. In international forums, Cyprus has consistently supported India on the Kashmir issue, and India has always supported Cyprus against the Turkish occupation, but now things are moving up a notch with Modi being personally escorted by Christodoulides to have a full understanding of the issues Cyprus faces. In the coming years, as the India-Greece-Cyprus alliance further deepens and develops, Turkey will regret its decision to involve itself in the Kashmir issue, just as Pakistan will regret its consistent provocations against Greece and Cyprus, such as violating Greek airspace in 2018-19 and supporting the Turkish occupation of northern Cyprus. These Turkic-wannabes LARPing as medieval Islamist warlords will be dealt with when the time in the future is appropriate.

In international forums, Cyprus has consistently supported India on the Kashmir issue, and India has always supported Cyprus against the Turkish occupation, but now things are moving up a notch with Modi being personally escorted by Christodoulides to have a full understanding of the issues Cyprus faces. In the coming years, as the India-Greece-Cyprus alliance further deepens and develops, Turkey will regret its decision to involve itself in the Kashmir issue, just as Pakistan will regret its consistent provocations against Greece and Cyprus, such as violating Greek airspace in 2018-19 and supporting the Turkish occupation of northern Cyprus. Is Ireland about to explode yet again in violence or is it all smoke & mirrors and political game playing? The IRA or new IRA are back and have threatened the government that either they remove the mass of migrants that have flooded Ireland…or they will do it. With the implication that their methods won’t involve letters and a gentle knock on the door. What I can’t figure out is that the Republican army (new or old) political arm is Sinn Fein and it’s Sinn Fein that have been actively selling out the Irish people and betraying them to the EU and actively facilitating the very mass migration crisis that their military arm now say they are against. What’s going on? If the violence starts it will have a huge knock on effect on Northern Ireland, the wider U.K. and Europe itself.
