We’re trying to give ourselves a swing at the plate every year. We did that last year. The point of where we are with the age of our best players is we can still be good but we’re obviously not in the same class as we were 5-6 years ago. We’re not in the same class as the team we played tonight and several other teams in the league. There’s no point in denying that. We have to embrace it, be realistic, and give ourselves a shot. We can give ourselves a shot like we did a year ago by connecting and staying healthy and getting on a run. We’re still good enough to do that. If you do that and you have a shot, you get to the playoffs, you never know what’s going to happen. I think that’s where we are right now so we’ve got to keep fighting.”

It is possible GFL could still have an event, but honestly, that would be shocking to me at this point. To me, the GFL is a story that has come and gone. There's a greater story here - the state of the MMA business. PFL isn't paying as much as they once did. The Bellator No.2 brand doesn't exist. ONE isn't paying nearly as much for MMA fighters. GFL was that hope. This type of promotion doesn't exist and at the end of the day, that's not good for the for the fighters or the business.

Oscar will win championships at McLaren in the future. He has all it takes. I've always said that the rate of development tells me why he won championship at the first year in the junior categories. His capacity to adapt, his capacity to analyze what is needed, got it, I'll go out and do it and he does it. He’s no short than exceptional. And I think this year Oscar for two third of the season has been the most consistent. We then went to tracks that challenged Oscar from a technical point of view. The low grip circuits required a driving style that came so natural for Lando and so much to think for Oscar like ‘ah, that's what the car needs, it doesn't come natural to me. I have to think how I do it in an automatic way.’ And with the level of drivers we have at the moment, as soon as you have to think too much in the way you drive, you lose several positions. But I think really the only event in which Oscar had some hesitations this year is just Baku. I think all the rest in my view, it has some technical explanations. It has to do with the level overall of drivers that we have there for the impact of not being perfect, not being to the last 1%. And also Oscar showed maturity once again in the way he withstood the difficulties we had as a team. Which once again are quite impressive for somebody who is at the third season in Formula 1 and gives me the chance to thank Oscar and Lando for how they stayed supportive of the team. LIV Golf have sold nearly 100,000 tickets for their first ever event in South Africa, putting it on track to comfortably be the best attended golf event ever held in the country. Charl Schwartzel spoke about the growth of LIV Golf since their inaugural event in 2022: “Yeah, I mean, that first event in June in 2022, there was a lot of turmoil in our sport, a lot of uncertainty. Obviously it was coming from guys that had come to LIV. Nobody was sure what to expect… “But from a LIV standpoint, it's been fantastic to be part of it, to see how it's grown, gotten better. Every year they improve. “We've had a taste of it every year in Adelaide, where you can see what it can be, because that's like the pinnacle of the LIV events. Now just to see what we've created here in South Africa, it makes you very proud to see. This is fantastic. “I don't think there's any -- there's never been a golfing event in South Africa that's ever been set up like this, and I don't think many sporting events here. TL LohaN gives his thoughts after Team Liquid's elimination from Masters Santiago: "I'm super proud of the boys, honestly. I think we weren't as prepared as other teams for this event. Our kickoff, we were a bit behind every time, trying to change a lot. We did a lot of changes from the start of kickoff all the way to this tournament. And in the end of the day, I think I have an amazing team, amazing players, all of them did everything they could. All of them trusted me, trusted yaotziN. Today didn't work, but I think we should be proud of our journey and now it's time to go back to the drawing board and start working for the rest of the year."

Billy Donovan on the Bulls’ approach to mental health support in light of the Jaden Ivey cutting for homophobic comments amid some erratic videos on IG this week: "I think in this day and age, you have to be conscientious of all these guys may be going through things. And I'm not passing judgment on what Jaden is or is not going through. But I do worry about that, not only for Jaden, but for all of our players. Are we providing the resources, which I think we do, to help them in any way we can? I think if any player reached out and said I need some help in this, we could help them."
