The Tyranny of Merit When Rahul Gandhi spoke about the concept of merit is flawed, he means a lot of things. We are often forced to believe that success is purely based on talent and hard work, which is the foundation of meritocracy argument. Well it is not. In his book The Tyranny of Merit, famous author Michael J Sandel explains in great detail why it is not. In The Tyranny of Merit, Michael Sandel challenges the common belief that success is purely based on talent and hard work. He argues that while meritocracy, the idea that people rise in life based on their abilities, sounds fair, it actually deepens inequality and creates resentment in society. In today's world, especially in countries like the US and India, education and high-paying jobs are seen as the ultimate measures of success. Those who make it to IITs, IIMs, or top positions in multinational companies are often considered deserving of their success. But Sandel questions this thinking. Are these people truly self-made, or did they benefit from privileges like better schools, financial security, and family support? He points out that this system makes the winners feel superior and the less successful feel like failures, even when circumstances beyond their control, such as poverty or lack of opportunities, play a huge role. This divide is dangerous as it leads to frustration among those left behind, fueling anger against elites, which we have seen in political movements worldwide. Sandel also highlights how society values white-collar jobs over essential work like farming, factory labor, and delivery services, even though these roles are crucial for daily life. He argues that respect should not be tied to degrees alone but to the contribution people make to society. The book ultimately calls for a shift in mindset. Instead of glorifying individual success, we should work towards a society that values dignity in all kinds of work, provides equal opportunities, and reduces the gap between the privileged and the underprivileged. In an Indian context, this message is especially relevant. Education, caste, and wealth still play a major role in determining success. Instead of blindly following the merit narrative, we should ask if we are creating a fairer society or just making the privileged even more powerful. To talk about the tyranny of meritocracy that is being unleashed in Indian society by people having an illusion of merit requires a lot of courage. We appreciate Rahul Gandhi for being blunt about it without worrying about the back lash. We will also show you what the ancestors of today's 'the meritocratic' class did when they were the 'victims'. (1/4) Listen to Michael Sandel:

Tucker Carlson yesterday used his discussion on meritocracy and Harvard's DEI admissions as a segue to... Israel's supposed desire to kill women and children. This smear isn't new. Tucker is merely recycling Nick Fuentes. And it's all a lie. Israel does not believe that all Palestinians are "stained from birth," as Tucker claimed. Nor does Israel desire to kill women and children, as Tucker has also suggested recently. What Tucker has done is a gross and willful distortion of Mark Levin and others saying that Hamas must be wiped out, and that Israel cannot allow Hamas to escape by using human shields — against the backdrop of Israel already going to great lengths (comparable to or surpassing other Western militaries) to avoid civilian casualties. Judge for yourself in the clips below. Tucker: "You have to judge people on their behavior, not on their blood. Otherwise, you move very quickly into collective punishment. This is why what Israel is doing in Gaza is immoral... Israeli politicians are saying out loud, and Mark Levin is joining them in saying out loud... it doesn't matter if they [Palestinian civilians] die because they're stained from birth." Fuentes: "In Israel, those are their values. They're saying... anyone that is Palestinian, supports Hamas, they're all guilty, we're going to kill all of them. That's why they're shooting them at the foreign aid sites..." So it appears the question is no longer about Tucker softballing Fuentes, but rather about echoing and even repeating his vile beliefs.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) today released its 192-page autopsy of the 2024 election. It blames the Biden White House for failing to defend Harris for over three and a half years. It says the White House never moved to “contradict or correct” the “border czar” label that defined Harris in voters’ minds. The report calls Trump’s “Kamala is for they/them” ad effective and unanswerable, given that she never repudiated trans surgeries for prison inmates. The autopsy reminds readers that in 1989, DNC Chairman Ron Brown reclaimed what it calls “the vital center of American discourse” after three straight presidential losses. It notes that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama then led the party to win the popular vote in seven of the next eight presidential elections. The report suggests Democrats need to recover that center. But the autopsy does not explain what pulled the party away from it, nor where the party went, which was the topic of a recent conversation I had with The Free Press’Coleman Hughes (below). The answer the autopsy dared not say is that “progressive” (radical) Left turned it against the core structures of Western civilization and took over the Party. Starting around 2010, meritocracy increasingly gave way to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) mandates, which the Biden White House imposed across the federal government in 2021. Law and order gave way to defund-the-police rhetoric and progressive prosecutors. Cheap energy gave way to a climate agenda that was on track to cost trillions in taxes and higher energy prices. National borders gave way to an unenforced southern frontier. And personal agency gave way to victimhood ideology, which casts citizens as products of oppressive systems rather than authors of their own lives.... Full Hasan Piker context in response to a viewer accusing him of having "anti-Asian politics" for criticizing the Supreme Court's ruling against Affirmative Action: "This entire affirmative action thing being like, 'Oh, this is actually a really important day for Asian people, we should be celebrating it.' The entire institution that brought this up to the Supreme Court is led by white people. They just put Asian people in the front because they realized if they were doing it for white people, then it would've been demonstrably white supremacist and people would've said, 'Oh this is bullshit, get the fuck out of here.' So what did they do? They turned around and put a bunch of Asian dudes in the front as props. And some of you dumb motherfuckers ate that propaganda hook, line, and sinker. The entire conversation literally started with a white guy. A white guy and his organization decided the best way to sell this to Americans is not by focusing on anti-blackness or any kind of other considerations, but instead focusing on "fairness", because Americans love the notion of a meritocracy. That's what it is. Reverse affirmative action, which is a band-aid solution and certainly not an all-that-successful one really, it was just marginally drip-feeding more black people into the upper echelon of professional managerial class positions slowly but surely. Just a couple extra black people. That's what it was slated to do, that's what it was doing. White Americans would have never allow any sort of like real restitution, they would never allow reparations, so they just did this. And then even that was too much. So we rolled it all the way the fuck back. Jun 29, 2023

I read over 1,000 pages on Julius Caesar's leadership, these are my five top takeaways... 1. Caesar inspired his troops by fighting alongside them. In a battle against the Helvetii he rode to the frontlines, then sent away his horse to show that he would endure the battle with his soldiers. No matter the outcome. This inspired his men to fight for him, as he shared their danger. Key Lesson- You must always work alongside your employees. Let them know you share in their suffering. 2. Caesar always moved with speed and agility. Napoleon said: "The strength of an army, is estimated by multiplying the mass by the rapidity" The Romans under Caesar were not only the best engineers, but they were also the fastest. This gave them speed and agility both in travel, and in warfare. Key Lesson- Speed and agility. Speed and agility. Speed and agility. 3. Caesar expected his troops to always be ready. “He also made a habit during campaigns of not announcing the hour of the army’s departure beforehand as he expected his men to be prepared to follow him at any time." Key Lesson- You must expect your employees to always be ready. Always keep them moving. Never let stagnation settle in. 4. Caesar pushed his troops to the absolute limits. From his biography: "No Roman general ever pressed his troops harder than Caesar, but no army ever followed its leader more willingly." Key Lesson- Push your troops hard. It simply builds moral. 5. Caesar instilled a meritocracy. Also from his biography: "Caesar didn’t care what kind of background his men came from, wether they were Roman patricians by birth of the sons of a goatherd. All that mattered to him was how they conducted themselves in war." Key Lesson- Give room in the organization for talent to rise up in the ranks. This encourages performance.

It’s time to expose John Deere. John Deere USA has been one of the most beloved brands by conservative farmers but recently on CEO John May’s watch, they’ve gone woke. Here’s some of what we found: • Funding a pride event for kids as young as 3 • "Genderbread man" training • They ask employees to list their "preferred pronouns" on all communications • Bill Gates is listed as their largest shareholder • John Deere celebrated their accounting and finance team taking United Way’s 21 day "United For Equity" program • When I did "United For Equity" program it promoted Ibram Kendi, the woke children’s book "Anti-Racist Baby", "Awake to Woke to Work", a podcast on the concept of "Whiteness", woke activist Robin DiAngelo, bigotry against Christians who supposedly have "Christian Privilege" and more • The woke policies have spread across the global John Deere brand with many of their DEI policies also being forced on their Latin America and India branches • LGBTQ & race based identity groups at corporate • A total commitment to DEI policies • 95/100 CEI score from the HRC John Deere also just announced layoffs in the US and that they plan to shift large segments of production away from the US to Mexico. To put it mildly, John Deere seems to have forgotten who their customers are. Having a farm myself, I’m disgusted that a once great American brand is now taking this turn to seemingly embrace leftist policies that are diametrically opposed to the values of most farmers. What’s unknown is whether CEO John May is knowingly forcing these policies or if it’s gotten out of control and he’s out of the loop on how bad it is. His response to this story will be very revealing as to his culpability in the implementation of woke policies. This report is only the beginning. We have so many pieces of news to report that it’s going to take weeks, maybe even months to report it thoroughly. I plan to report what we’ve found piece by piece so customers and potential customers are informed on the brand’s policies. If they’re proud of adopting woke policies then John Deere and their CEO should be overjoyed by my reporting on their policies, positions, donations and culture. Next we’re going to be doing a deep dive on donations, interviews their executives have given, hiring practices, woke causes they’ve supported, the difficulties some farmers have faced trying to repair their products and much more. If you think John Deere’s values don’t align with yours and you’re a customer or potential customer who wants to speak out, I’ve provided their email and corporate customer service number at the end of this video. Please ALWAYS be respectful and remember that many of the employees disagree with the corporate policies. The majority of your local dealers likely also disagree with this culture change so be very respectful if you reach out to them about your concerns. My goal with this reporting is never destruction. My goal is to inform consumers about the values major companies are adopting so they can make choices about what they’re willing to support. When we use our voices and wallets to vote our values, we can change the world and we can restore great American companies to a culture of sanity, meritocracy and culture war neutrality OR we can inspire competitors to step up to the plate to fight for our business. As we saw with my Tractor Supply stories, millions of people spoke out against these types of woke policies and ultimately Tractor Supply did the right thing by eliminating woke policies, donations, trainings and positions because of your voices. The customer is king and most of us just want companies we shop at to stop virtue signaling about divisive social, cultural and political issues. If you agree then share this video and tag your favorite accounts so they see this news too.

🔥 BREAKING. VICTORY! WATCH! 🔥Virginia AG Jason Miyares just announced he has concluded his investigation into anti-Asian racism by Fairfax County Public Schools in admissions to America’s former No. 1 high school, Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, and found discrimination and violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. He has referred the case to the U.S. Justice Department and U.S. Education Department. That means Attorney General Pamela Bondi Harmeet K. Dhillon DOJ Civil Rights Division U.S. Department of Education ED Civil Rights Linda McMahon Education Secretary Press Release. AG Miyares said: “Tragically, anti-Asian bigotry has been the only state-sanctioned bigotry allowed in America today. That ends.” The racism has been so blatant that federal civil rights lawyers are expected to continue the investigation and file future litigation against Fairfax County Public Schools for their racism. This is a great day for America and the future of America’s children, so that all children will know equality of opportunity. You’ll see my elation at the end of the video. Since 2020, Asian American immigrant families like mine have fought for merit-based education at TJ—and Virginia Attorney General Miyares actions today keep alive our fight for merit and the American Dream. In August 2020, we formed the Coalition for TJ #FightingForMerit as school board members and the Gov. Ralph Northam administration targeted Asian families for the school system’s failures to increase the number of Black and Hispanic children entering TJ at the numbers that they wanted. They called us cheaters, white adjacent and white supremacists. It broke my heart. Children became ashamed to be Asian, even changing their names so they wouldn’t signal “Asian.” In December 2020, Fairfax County School Board killed TJ’s merit admissions test to socially engineer race so Asian students would lose seats. We fought back. In 2021, we filed a lawsuit with amazing lawyers from Pacific Legal Foundation, and in 2022, federal Judge Claude Hilton ruled in our favor—calling the changes unconstitutional. But the 12-0 Democratic school board spent taxpayer money to appeal, and a Democratic-majority panel overturned the decision. Meanwhile, in 2023, SCOTUS did strike down anti-Asian bias in Harvard/University of North Carolina cases. We petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court. AG Miyares backed us with Republican AGs. In 2024, SCOTUS declined to hear our case, not judging the merits. We wondered if our case was dead. We knew our cause was alive. In 2025, Donald J. Trump issued an executive order defending merit and the U.S. Education Department issued guidance making race-based admissions illegal. Yet the war on merit continues. Fairfax County refuses to back down. This is personal. I came to the United States from India at four, not knowing a word of English. Public schools and hard work got me to the The Wall Street Journal at 23. My son entered TJ through hard work. He stood outside TJ with my dad, both holding lollipops, as I took their photo as a single mom. Three generations in America. Meritocracy made a difference in uplifting our lives. Now AG Jason Miyares has enlisted federal civil rights lawyers to join our fight. It’s a great day for America! 🧵has all the details.

It’s time to expose Harley Davidson. Harley-Davidson has been one of the most beloved brands in America but recently on CEO Jochen Zeitz’s watch, they’ve gone totally woke. Here’s some of what we found: • Openly supports “the equality act" which would allow men into girl’s bathrooms, sports and locker-rooms. • HD funded an all ages pride event that featured a "rage room" next to drag queen story time. • 1,800 employees had to do virtual training on how to become LGBTQ+ allies. • Founding Member of Wisconsin’s LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce — This chamber opposed a law that would’ve banned sex changes for kids in Wisconsin on behalf of the businesses they represent, including HD. • Sponsored LGBTQ+ Entrepreneur Bootcamp. • The woke CEO Jochen Zeitz signed the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion Pledge. • Made February and March "Months of Inclusion" because apparently Pride Month isn’t enough. • Multiple woke United Way trainings. • Donated millions to United Way who made the "United For Equity" program where they promote Ibram Kendi, the woke children’s book "Anti-Racist Baby", "Awake to Woke to Work", a podcast on the concept of "Whiteness", woke activist Robin DiAngelo, bigotry against Christians who supposedly have "Christian Privilege" and more. • Sent some White Male employees to a White Male ONLY woke diversity training program. • HD is openly working to have less White suppliers, dealers and employees. • HD partners with the yearly "Pride Ride". • HD supports the Pennsylvania Youth Congress who helped create Gender Neutral licenses in Pittsburgh. • Partnered with the far left HRC group to support LGBTQ+ causes. • Hosted LGBTQ+ events at the corporate office. • HD celebrated their legal dept taking a woke 21 day racial equity and literacy challenge which included speeches like "Black Panthers, White Lies", a BLM speech and Ta-Nehisi Coates "Case for Reparations". • LGBTQ+ & race based identity ERG groups at HD. • A total commitment to DEI policies. • 90/100 CEI score from the HRC. To put it mildly, Harley Davidson seems to have forgotten who their core customers are. I don’t think the values at corporate reflect the values of nearly any Harley Davidson bikers. Do Harley riders want the money they spend at Harley to be used later by corporate to push an ideology that’s diametrically opposed to their own values? It’s time to expose Toyota. Toyota USA has been one of the most trusted brands in America but they’ve gone totally woke. Here’s some of what we found: • Toyota sponsored a drag queen program at a summer camp for kids identifying as LGBTQ+. • Toyota opposes laws that ban sex changes for kids and funds groups who work to make sex changes legal for children and they worked with the Human Rights Campaign Rapid Response to oppose these laws. • Toyota openly supports “the equality act" which would allow men into girl’s bathrooms, sports and locker-rooms. • Toyota funded the Human Rights Campaign Rapid Response’s Time To Thrive Summit where they worked with the largest teachers union to push gender ideology into elementary schools. • Donated to the HRC, the Trevor Project, Dallas Resource Center and Los Angeles LGBT Center and the Workplace Equality Summit — All supporters of child transitions. The Trevor Project features chat rooms where adults have been caught talking to kids about sexual kinks, how to transition, masturbation and more. They also have a quick exit feature to wipe the browser and hide the website from parents. • Funded many "all ages" pride events. • Woke DEI trainings. • LGBT Chamber of Commerce member. • Preferential treatment for "diverse" suppliers. • Hosted LGBTQ+ events at corporate. • Created custom cars with a trans flag. • ERG groups divided by race + sexual orientation. • A total commitment to DEI policies. • 100/100 CEI score from the HRC for 16 straight years which means that they pay for not only employee transitions but for children of employee’s to transition in states where it’s legal. To put it mildly, Toyota seems to have forgotten who their core customers are. They depend on American families and Japanese families to buy their cars. It’s time to remind them who their customers are. I don’t think the values at corporate reflect the values many Toyota/Lexus owners have (with the exception of maybe Prius owners who probably like the woke stuff). It’s time to expose Corona, Modelo, Pacifico and their parent company Constellation Brands. Constellation Brands owns some of the largest beer brands in the world but they’ve gone totally woke. Here’s some of what we found: • They fund "all ages" Pride events • Worked with the far left HRC who supports child sex changes • Uses "Latinx" to refer to Latinos and Hispanics • Donated $500,000 to illegal immigration group UnidosUS whose President says that Trump is "fueling" racism • Signed onto HRC initiative to support the so called "equality act" which would legalize biological men in girls sports, locker rooms and bathrooms • Gives preferential treatment to "diverse" suppliers by giving them their own program • Has a far left DEI department • Flew Transgender flag at their offices • Hosted LGBTQ+ events at their corporate office • BRG groups divided by race + sexual preferences. • A total commitment to DEI policies. • Has bragged about their great HRC CEI scores which is essentially a scoring system to signal how woke you are about the trans agenda • Has MANY activist employees driving this far left policy agenda • Invests far more in Mexico than the US despite dependence on US consumers to survive as a company To put it mildly, Constellation Brands Corona USA Cerveza Modelo Pacifico Beer and their other brands have forgotten who their core customers are. They depend on Americans to buy their beers. It’s time to remind them who their customers are. ARE COLONIAL WHITES TO BLAME FOR THE STATE OF AFRICA TODAY? DO THEY HAVE ANY RESPONSIBILITY? I am posing this question and re-posting part of an earlier threat as a separate tweet just to capture this point. This is also arising from the claims of some that Africa has been independent for so long so much that there is no more reason to blame colonial whites for the state of Africa. It is being suggested by some that all blame should be laid at the feet of "corrupt and incompetent African leaders". Let's be clear, many an African leader has been a serious disappointment, some have been corrupt, some incompetent. But perhaps, the question also needs to be asked: what kind of African leader has this been? Is this the Pan African leader that actually fought for Africa and was selected by Africans, or is it the comprador bourgeoisie puppet leader imposed on Africa by the colonialists? Yes, it's been almost 30 years since the independence of South Africa and 43 years since the independence of Zimbabwe and some 60 years since the independence of Ghana, the DR Congo and others. While one would have expected a lot of progress to have been made - and a lot of progress was being made in the early days - one must also ask the question: what kind of leadership did post-colonial Africa get? It is instructive to note that in almost every single African country, there was destabilisation after destabilisation: coups, assassination of African leaders, and replacement with western puppets. In Ghana, the CIA overthrew the Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and replaced him with their puppet Joseph Arthur Ankrah, decapitating Ghana's progress in the process. In Ivory Coast the French installed Félix Houphouët-Boigny who would go on to rule for decades, actively serving the interests of France. In the DR Congo the Belgians and CIA and their accolytes Moise Tshombe and Joseph Kasavubu, assassinated Patrice Emery Lumumba and installed Mobutu Sese Seko. The same would happen to Thomas Sankara who they assassinated and replaced with their puppet Blaise Compaoré. In Nigeria they overthrew Nnamdi Azikiwe and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and replaced them with their puppets. In Ethiopia they overthrew Emperor Haile Selassie and replaced him with the dictator and Genocidaire Mengistu Haile Mariam. In Zimbabwe they decapitated Dr. Joshua Nkomo through Genocide against his people and placed Mugabe in power instead of him. In Uganda they used Idi Amin to overthrow Apollo Milton Obote and Uganda has never been the same. In Mali they overthrew Modibo Keita and replaced him with Moussa Traoré. In Togo they had assassinated Silvanus Olympio and replaced him with their puppets. In Mozambique and Angola they fomented rebellions in Renamo under Afonso Dhlakama and Jonas Savimbi and decapitated any progress. In the frontline states that were opposed ot Apartheid, bombing raids were carried out by the South African Defence Force, in addition to all kinds of subversion and sabotage. Tanzania, Zambia, Angola and other frontline states were to suffer both under the hands of the Apartheid Government and the Americans and Europeans. Many of these African states got caught up in the Big Power rivalry between the USA and the USSR. Now, what is instructive is that all these comprador bourgeoisie puppet leaders that were used by the West to overthrow Pan African leaders would go on to rule each for between 20 and 40 years, despite visiting the most horendous of crimes against their own people, presiding over gross incompetence and grotesque corruption. Their mission was to keep Africa divided, poor, fighting, unable to control its resources, and open to exploitation by Western corporations. The same people telling us about democracy today are the same people who imposed the most evil rulers upon us. It may well be said that Africa has yet to have its own legitimate leaders that have been fairly selected. And if we have learned anything from South Africa and Tanzania recently, any such leaders will still be persecuted if not outright assassinated. We find President Zuma in this category (do you realise that President Zuma went down the same way President Lula da Silva went down in Brazil, Dr. Mamohan Singh in India, and clearly the Presidents of Russia and China have been too powerful for the west to overthrow). In Ethiopia Prime Minister Meles Zenawi died allegendly naturally but your guess is as good as mine. The same tragedy visited President Pombe John Magufuli in Tanzania. But as Thomas Sankara warned in his famous A "United Front Against the Debt" speech to the OAU in Addis Ababa in July 1987, if we stand united as Africans, we will be able to prevent all these assassinations, coups, inteference, and neocolonial agendas. He argued: "I hope our conference sees the necessity of stating clearly that we cannot pay the debt. Not in a warmongering or warlike spirit. This is to avoid our going off to be killed one at a time. If Burkina Faso alone were to refuse to pay the debt, I wouldn’t be at the next conference. On the other hand, with the support of all, which I greatly need, with the support of all, we can avoid paying. And if we can avoid paying, we can devote our meager resources to our development." The time has come for the younger generation of Africans to rediscover the vision of the African Greats, the Pan Africanists in the mould of the Osegyafo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Nelson Mandela, Thomas Sankara, Dr. Joshua Nkomo, Patrice Emery Lumumba, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Modibo Keita, Julius Nyerere, Keneth Kaunda, and lately, Thabo Mbeki, Pombe John Magufuli, Meles Zenawi, Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma, etc. Now, this is not to say that these leaders were perfect. By no means. But they were clear on the direction that Africa should take. They were clear on the need for African unity, and the need for Africa to determine its own destiny as a united force. They worked against almost insurmountable challenges, economic sanctions, persistent propaganda from the west, sabotage, etc, but they still held dear the vision of a united Africa that legitimately serves its own people. To come back to the original question posed: do we still have reason to blame colonial whites? I would say absolutely. It is them that imposed on Africa their puppets that have ruled for, in some cases, 40 years and above: Mugabe in Zimbabwe, Paul Biya in Cameron, Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Ivory Coast, Mobutu Sese Seko in the Congo, Idi Amin in Uganda, etc.; fomented rebellions, coups, assassinations, etc. If we are to solve the problems of Africa, we need to start with the question: what is the best way to select truly competent pro- and Pan African leaders that will ensure the unity, power, and prosperity of Africa? We need to ask ourselves: is this so-called democracy from the west bringing us the best of leaders, or it's just a rent-seeking mechanism for the west to continue to control us by sponsoring their puppets? Do we need perhaps to go back to our traditional institutions and find out how we can select the best of the best among us following some form of meritocracy? Perhaps replace the political parties with residents associations and community Lekgotlas to select the best who meet certain qualification and experience criteria?

Around the world, the crackdown on free speech is accelerating. In Britain, the courts are sentencing people to years in prison for things they posted on X, formerly Twitter. In the United States, the architects of the Censorship Industrial Complex are raising money for Kamala Harris in hopes of re-imposing government censorship on social media platforms after she wins. And in Brazil, the government has forced X to end its operations after threatening to arrest X’s employees in Brazil if the company continues to refuse to permanently ban disfavored journalists, influencers, and elected political leaders from its platform. The Brazilian government may soon block access to X in Brazil, forcing its citizens to rely upon VPNs, or virtual private networks, in order to access X illegally. On the one hand, none of these events appear to have anything in common. In Britain, there were riots triggered by misinformation that the killer of two children was an illegal immigrant. In the United States, the Censorship Industrial Complex emerged in reaction to the 2016 election of Donald Trump. And in Brazil, a single Supreme Court justice has taken it upon himself to demand extreme levels of censorship in reaction to the election of a populist president in 2018. But at another level, all of these events are connected. Starmer, Harris, and Lula have all embraced the first and most important step toward totalitarianism, which is censorship. This is even more alarming given the events of the last few days, when Harris announced that she would seek price controls on food and a housing agenda that would significantly expand the role of the government without increasing supply. I don’t think the labels of communist or fascist accurately describe the systems that Starmer, Harris, and Lula are creating. In some ways, those three leaders are drawing upon elements of both totalitarian systems. But trying to compare what’s happening now to what happened in the early 20th Century risks confusing us as to what is happening before our very eyes. But I do think the label of totalitarianism is accurate to describe what these leaders are doing and where they appear to be headed. Part of what’s so alarming about what they are doing is that they are melding together the demands of global capital and of Woke Leftists at the grassroots level. Both are driven by intolerance of free speech and free expression. Scarcely a day passes without the mainstream media attacking Elon Musk as a threat to democracy because he has allowed freedom of speech on X. Why are they doing that? Because the mainstream media are financed by and should be thought of as global capital’s marketing and propaganda operation. And, as alarming, there is strong evidence that those leaders are and have been working together to impose a censorship industrial complex worldwide. Europe, Australia, and Brazil have all sought to ban and censor disfavored views and individuals not just in their home countries but worldwide. Over the last decade, these governments, politicians, and political parties have worked to coordinate their work at the United Nations, World Economic Forum, and other NGOs that operate across borders. And reporting by Public and others has uncovered collaboration between intelligence agencies in all three nations. Media disinformation that populism poses a threat to democracy has increased the public’s support for online censorship. From 2018 to 2023, the share of Democrats who told Pew they wanted the government to engage in more censorship of disfavored online speech rose from 40% to 70%. An identical dynamic is occurring in Brazil and Britain, whereby the mainstream news media and Left-wing political activists have called for the censorship of their political enemies. Friends, I’m sorry to say, but this is what the global transition to totalitarianism looks like. Big businesses, left-wing governments, and the legacy news media have made clear that they cannot tolerate free speech online. They grew accustomed to controlling public opinion first through the legacy media and then through Facebook, Google, and Twitter. Global elites have made clear that they believe that freedom of speech on a single social media platform, and one that is far smaller than Facebook or Google, is intolerable. This desire for total control is the central characteristic of the totalitarianism that is presently emerging from elites at the corporate and political levels around the world. In addition to pushing censorship, these leaders and global elites are seeking to overturn liberal democracies and impose a radically different system of iliberal rule in the Western world. Rather than meritocracy and equal justice for all, elites are seeking to impose a Woke racialist hierarchy that gives preferential treatment to some groups and prejudicial treatment to other groups supposedly based on historic oppression. There are signs of hope. Recently, a group of censorsial advertisers called the group of advertisers, called the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) disbanded after X sued them. But X cannot defend freedom of speech alone. We need a global free speech movement to defend our fundamental freedom against tyranny. If we lose free speech we will lose everything else, including our civilization. The step between censorship and price controls and shortages will be a very small one. We are working with our allies around the world to raise the alarm. In June we gathered free speech advocates from the United States, Britain, Brazil, and other countries, and we are now working together on a combined effort to stand up for freedom and against the tyrants. If you’d like to support our work, please subscribe now to Public. If you can do more than that, please consider a tax-deductible donation to support the free speech movement. The moment we have been warning about is approaching more rapidly than any of us expected.

🚨 Top Toronto police lawyer on leave following 'hate crime' charging scandal: David Menzies Falguni Debnath, the Toronto police lawyer who allegedly instructs police on who they can and cannot charge, is now on leave. We have an update regarding the Falguni Debnath fiasco. Falguni Debnath is legal counsel for the Toronto Police Service. And disturbingly, Debnath is allegedly involved in setting police policy, too – especially in terms of who should be criminally charged and who shouldn’t. The Debnath debacle goes back to last December. That’s when Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow dropped a bombshell. Mayor Chow said that Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw told her that internal legal advice had discouraged officers from laying hate crime charges during those despicable pro-Hamas protests. The advice police received was to essentially back off on charging the Hamasholes, apparently even the violent ones. This dubious advice allegedly came from a “senior lawyer at police headquarters” who said that securing convictions would be difficult. That “senior lawyer” is apparently Falguni Debnath. As to why securing convictions against thugs breaking the law would prove to be difficult remains a mystery. Yet, if the Toronto police brass is receiving its marching orders from a lawyer when it comes to law enforcement, this is downright shocking and entirely inappropriate. But it does kind of explain what we have witnessed for more than two years now regarding those pro-Hamas reprobates. They have trespassed into restaurants and bookstores and shopping malls with the goal of harassing patrons. They routinely utter death threats. They vandalize Jewish-owned businesses and schools as well as synagogues. They have openly displayed swastikas. They have cosplayed as terrorists. They have even chanted for the genocide of the Jewish people as they march through predominately Jewish neighbourhoods. It’s been stomach-churning. And frankly, it’s hard to believe this is happening in Toronto the Good. Indeed, whatever happened to the Toronto police slogan of “to serve and protect”? Or are the Toronto police serving and protecting Falguni Debnath as opposed to citizens? Even more appalling, as the cops turn a blind eye to lawlessness and hate crimes committed by the Hamas supporters, they go full gestapo-mode when it comes to peaceful counterdemonstrators and members of the independent press. Gee, we wonder if arresting counterdemonstrators and independent journalists was also based on the advice of fabulous Falguni as well? We reached out for comment to the police, the mayor, and Debnath herself. The silence is deafening. None of them returned our requests for comment. In fact, it is Toronto police policy not to communicate with Rebel News. We’re also banned from police press conferences. Is that a Falguni Debnath initiative too? But get this: last week, we were tipped off that Debnath, who we understand is not very well-liked by her colleagues at Toronto police headquarters, is no longer in the building. In fact, when we reached out to her via email the other day, we received an automated response noting that she is “on leave.” Fascinating. What’s also fascinating is the he said/she said bickering when it comes to the Falguni fiasco. Which is to say, when this story broke, Chief Demkiw implied that Mayor Chow was not telling the truth. The Chief said that he never made such a statement to the mayor regarding a senior legal staffer calling the shots. Yet the Toronto Police Service has yet to provide a detailed public explanation regarding whether or not legal guidance has influenced law enforcement decisions. So, in the aftermath, what gives? While I’m no fan of Mayor Chow, I think she’s telling the truth on this file. For starters, what would Chow have to gain by making up such a story? And really, this explanation that there is someone behind the scenes tinkering with law enforcement policy vis-à-vis the Hamashole demographic is the only thing that seems to explain the behaviour of Toronto police going back to October 2023. So, now the question remains: why did Debnath suddenly get out of Dodge? Part of the answer might be that Debnath very much preferred being a silent and anonymous schemer. But we blew her cover last December when Rebel News dropped by police headquarters with our big, beautiful billboard truck. We outed this shyster. And insiders tell us she flipped her wig when she saw her name and image up in lights. She even allegedly threatened to resign that very day. The truck was so disturbing to her that a senior cop asked us to kindly move the truck away from police headquarters. We politely declined to do so. And now Falguni Debnath has apparently skedaddled away rather than face scrutiny for her actions. What a coward. Speaking of cowardice, where is the mainstream media on this file? With the exception of our friend at the Toronto Sun, Joe Warmington, the trained seals at the MSM are AWOL. But why? This is a hell of a story, wouldn’t you say? Indeed, aside from our videos and Warmington’s columns, the only other media coverage I could find about Debnath was a superb piece written by Ron East in the online news site, is self-described as “a Canadian-based Zionist international media platform dedicated to amplifying local and global voices that champion meritocracy, first principles, respect, and peace through strength.” East notes that under Canadian law, police are tasked with laying charges when they believe an offence has occurred. The decision to prosecute, withdraw, or pursue a conviction rests with Crown attorneys. Legal experts note that while police services often consult legal counsel on complex matters, such advice is not intended to replace frontline enforcement of the law. He notes that Jewish community leaders say the current ambiguity is contributing to a loss of confidence at a time when Jewish residents report feeling increasingly unsafe. And the suggestion that hate-crime charges are being avoided because of anticipated courtroom challenges has alarmed Jewish advocacy groups. East also notes that neither Debnath nor the Toronto Police Service has responded publicly to detailed questions regarding her role, if any, in advising against hate-crime charges. Mayor Chow’s office has also not issued a clarification regarding her account with the chief’s denial. As well, here’s what one former prosecutor familiar with police-Crown relations had to say: “When senior officials provide contradictory accounts, the public deserves a clear explanation. Otherwise, confidence in the system erodes.” Meanwhile, East notes that Jewish organizations argue that the issue goes beyond internal disagreements and reflects a broader failure of political leadership to confront antisemitism decisively. The Toronto Police Service has repeatedly stated that it enforces the law impartially and evaluates each incident based on evidence and legal thresholds. Really? Then why were independent journalists arrested numerous times for the egregious crime of… practicing journalism in public? Notably, Chief Demkiw has emphasized the importance of balancing public order, Charter rights, and community safety. Did you pick up on that word: “balancing”? Translation: accommodating the pro-Hamas demographic, apparently based on the advice of Debnath, is the prime directive of the Toronto police now. “Balancing” means accommodating the pro-Hamas thugs as opposed to applying law enforcement in an unbiased and impartial fashion. Was that what the chief’s secret meeting with Justin Trudeau was all about? And if Falguni Debnath has indeed left the building – as in permanently – two words spring to mind: good riddance! The only question that remains is this: will the Toronto police continue to adhere to Debnath’s grotesque advice — or will the cops actually, you know, enforce the law of the land in an unbiased way? Stay tuned…
