I don't even have to watch it to hear the theme.

I’ve lived in Dallas the past thirty years and, at least partly, I moved here because of that show

I went to Southfork last year.

Friday night religiously. Greatest TV villain of all time.

Yes, when I managed to sweet talk me Dad into letting me stay up. My kids bought me the boxset so I could catch up on the episodes I'd missed when my attempts failed 🤣

Friday nights at 9pm. Falcon Crest at 10pm.

@MoragHamilton10 Dallas my favourite programme ever! Miss those days

I liked the poison dwarf 😍😍

I was once at a party in Brentwood, CA when I wandered into the living room. There on the couch sat an old man all alone. Showing a little empathy, I sat next to him and struck up a conversation. As I looked into his eyes, I suddenly realized who I was talking to! "Larry! You're JR, right?" I said. "Yeah, that's me." He replied. As we talked, a woman walked in and greeted us. It was Linda Gray! Both were a joy to chat with. Never in my imagination did I think I would one day end up enjoying the full attention of the top Dallas stars. Crazy world. Rest in peace, dear Larry Hagman...

My mom loved this show. Then she found the Knots Landing spin off and we all got involved.

Loved it. Don’t forget Brad Pitt played the character Randy, the boyfriend of Charlie Wade.

He’s big he’s rich his wife is a bitch, He drive a big posh car, He lives in a palace in the middle of Dallas, And they all call him JR. Some words to the theme song!

The intro was the only interesting part to ten year old me.

Dynasty and Dallas were the shows me and my grandma watched together when I was a kid I remember that Who shot JR episode 😂

I didn't like it, so went over to Texas and shot JR. Now you all know! In truth, yes, always watched it, some great scenes and lines. How many Ford Escorts had "I shot JR" across their windscreens? 😃

Saturday nights, mam and dad watched we were sent to bed 😂😂

Dallas. Beautifully edited opening sequence.

This was from an era where prime time soaps were crazy popular. Dallas and Dynasty were 2 huge hits. Falcon Crest, Flamingo Road, Knots Landing all followed...lots of back-stabbing and bitchy rich women. Was great tv!!!

I wasn’t allowed to watch it

I was addicted. But I worked evenings and this was way before VCR"s and DVR's so I used an old fashioned tape recorder and one of my family members, (also addicted) would record the audio for me so I could listen to the show when I got home from work. And that's my DALLAS story.

Me and my sister in law spent hours on the phone talking about Dallas especially the women's outfits, loved a shoulder pad way back then lol.

Bobby Ewing 😋😁 Wish I could wake up tomorrow, have a shower, & find out the past few decades have just been a bad dream (Waking up next to Bobby would be a nice bonus 🤣)

The better Larry, Jeanny was my favorite, Dallas was too arrogant for me as a child!

I remember the even earlier opening credits with Jock Ewing - Miss Ellie's husband before Clayton Farlow.

Dallas...the best show ever !

Hell yeah !!

Hardly ever missed an episode. This and Dynasty, Knots Landing and Falcon Crest. Also watched Ryan O Neil's Peyton Place, Waltons and Little House on the Prairie.

Mum loved it!!!!!

I always liked how they made it seem as if Southfork was a 5 minute drive from downtown, where in reality it can take 45 minutes to an hour, easily (and that is without traffic!).

Me along with Dynasty, Knots Landing and Falcon Crest

No video recorders or catch up so you always had to be at home when it was on! My favourite programme at the time!

Of course. While visiting relatives near Dallas (circa 1986), they drove us by the South Fork Ranch. I had not realized it was a real place before that.

Me🙋 And the great Terry Wogan's comments the morning after was always something to look forward to.😁💯
