uncle dane is idubbbztv's editor and head mod... just putting that out there...

LMFAO REALLY?

people rightfully give dane shit for throwing this little fit, but i think emplemon’s video about deadlock is far more pathetic. just an extended whiny temper tantrum

Hey I commented on that one lmfao

uncle dane was wrong? who would have thought?

growing up is realizing uncle dane is kind of retarded

Whoa would would have thought that the guy who only plays 1 class, and has only now just started trying new classes, would have a shallow and very close minded view on other things he's not knowledgeable enough. clearly, we need to buy more shitty cosmetics and loot boxes.

I can't even fault Dane here. Hindsight is 20/20 and even beyond a TF2 player's spite towards Valve, nobody knew if Deadlock was going to actually going to be successful or not

he's not wrong considering how CS2 is also being botted to death, this was when TF2 had a lot of problems and Deadlock was very early, pretty malicious to use the video on modern context.

Uncle Dane was one of the main people behind spearheading Meet Your Match btw

tbf deadlock looked MUCH more hit or miss back then and he said this at the height of the bot crisis

I am a TF2 fag until I die but yea the game is 20 years old. Hopefully they give some love to it in the future but I am not shocked Deadlock is their next main project.

post the clip of him talking about how good comp would be for tf2 😌

I mean the last part are kinda right, if Valve cant even take care of their Pillar classic games (TF2 and CS), What make Deadlock any different when it 10 - 15 years in release? What happen to Deadlock when Valve start getting bored and move on to new project?

Playing the devil's advocate, alot of people had this mindset with the game when it was first rumored Like, if you told anyone 5 years ago that valve was making a live service moba shooter in an over saturated market I think they would've rolled their eyes just as hard

Is there actualk beef between deadlock and tf2 players lol?

Do people not remember that every other attempt at this type of thing was an absolute pile of shit? Combined with Valves apathy towards one of their biggest titles to the point that it was unplayable for years, I think it’s not unreasonable for him to have been upset

My dis-dane for this man is beyond belief. He PUSHED AND CRIED AND COMPLAINED for TF2 to have a competitive mode, then went "welp its bad" AND SINGLE HANDEDLY CRIED FOR THE WORST UPDATE IN TF2'S HISTORY. HE'S A F2P WITH AN OPINION OF A GAME HE NEVER EVEN PLAYED

TO BE FAIR, if this was from, like, EARLY Deadlock, I do not blame him. The game only became appealing to me after Old Gods, New Blood when they did all the visual overhauls and everything to make the game look way better visually

I mean what he said here isnt wrong, idk about the rest of the video but the game will probably be infested with cheaters and botters if it was public. Especially when this was said during the tf2 bot crisis where it is 100% justifiable to be black pilled on valve.

cant fault dane here tbh TF2 (and CS2) had such an insane botting problem they refused to tackle for yearssss when thsi vid was made

No i disagree it was pretty atrocious to publicly eave around deadlock while this was all going on while profiting from it. Many reasons to be frustrated at Valve for their incompetence and neglect and deadlock was the new shiny target they put up. Deadlock still mogs tf2 tho

to be fair tf2 public servers were literally unusable at the time

I remember when it got leaked before it went into beta and people were shitting on the art direction lol.

@lucidmakesvids To be fair when Dane made this I was genuinely convinced it was going to be a cash grab because valve hasn’t treated tf2 as anything other than a cash grab so I was convinced that they didn’t actually care about the games they make and only wanted money, thank god I was wrong

Gonna be real as soon as the game goes open access the bot problem's gonna EXPLODE

So funny how people will watch this clip and ignore the literal spin botters that were infecting tf2 at the time. But yea let’s scrutinize him for being bitter when valve was doing nothing about it :DDD

Didn’t he nuke like most of the uncletopia servers for the pve servers because his fan base got mad bc they were getting dog walked by good players lol

This was said at basically the height of Valve cynicism. I wouldn't blame anyone, especially a devout TF2 player feeling scorned from thinking this way at the time it was said.

In all fairness considering the state of every other Valve PvP game at the time this was a reasonable assumption to make, both CS and TF2 was filled to the brim with bots and hackers to the point casual pubs were nearly unplayable

to be fair the anticheat question (which seems to be what he's mainly talking about in this particular clip) at valve has been their biggest downfall. CS would be twice as big if they took it remotely serious. VAC blows. but the general idea that it'd flop is kinda dumb

1K hours on tf2 and Im okay with it dying for deadlock, its time has passed and I really think they should of just come out to say that.

drink me

tbf its hard to like a new valve pvp shooter when you know the fate that will inevitably fall upon it

dane you're one of the people that advocated tf2 to be the next big esports and to say that Valve is out of touch (granted they definitely are) is very hypocritical
