Fuel spillage is more likely to happen during air refueling , however boom operator should have notified reviver pilot and initiate a disconnect and have him try one more time . if fuel spillage continues then air refueling will be terminated.

Today I learned the Air Force dumps a whole bunch of aviation fuel whenever they do midair refueling… I thought it was more precise, but it looks like they rely on force/pressure to pump the fuel into the f-16 while relying on air speed to prevent fuel burning into the intake.

Sorry, it's probably a dumb question, but is that av- fuel spraying out while fueling. And to those with more knowledge if it is. Is it supposed to do that during fueling? Seen videos where spray occurs when releasing or retracting the nozzle from the receiving plane.
