haha no worries i love MJ and his crazy jackets 😜 the orchestrator creates a goal with a DAG plan it follows, then uses a sliding context window + compression to keep its active context small. From there sub agents uses their tools (bash, fs, etc) to work through the tasks assigned. The orchestrator is keeping the high level plan and structure on its context, the agents are working on sub tasks in their own context windows, then they deliver the ouputs and traces back to the orchestrator to eval and merge. it does surprisingly well on complex multi directly apps. the main AGNT app is about 80k lines across a few dozen directories now

I built this relay thing that's supposed to wrap up before context window, update therelay and memory file and spawn a new session, like full newsession, bc I also don't trust the agents. They always do shit work. I tell claude to use opus 4.6 agents. Plus some of my apps are close to and over 1mm loc

hell yea do it!! with a codebase that large id make a multi level directory map that always stays in context, at least for the orchestrator. then the orch can just reference its map and pass the exact working directory the sub agents needs and delegate smaller sub tasks to agents. that way the agent that is doing the actual work only has to pull as little context as needed. similar to the ralph loop, clear context every time and pass in smaller tasks, use the orch like a systems director of sorts - i like DAG graphs for this
