There’s something to be said for “quality over quantity”. I was born in 1966. Information Technology professional for the past 40 years. If I knew then what I know now, I would have gone off the grid right out of high school. I truly miss the good ol’ days.

I started my career flying helicopters so antique that students laughed when they saw pictures of them. I ended my career flying a helicopter as complex as a Boeing 747, with an artificially intelligent autopilot that flew better than me and adapted itself to my control touch.

Born in 1961. I lived (am living) every bit of this. It feels like 4 different lifetimes.

Didn't wear seatbelts, drank from a garden hose, rode in the back of pickup trucks, got paddles in school. We made it. Today they're weak.

💯 if the Internet were taken down and life became more like the 60s/70s, we'd thrive. We've already done it so we know we CAN do it. (Also: it was awesome) Younger generations might have a tougher time. It'd be good for them to get out of mind numbing & the vapid selfie thing
