The Best, Jaco Pastorius.

All of them agree that James Jamison is number one
Jesus Christ. The best two are missing; Paul McCartney and Jack Bruce. What a joke.
Jaco Pastorius. No contest
Phil Lynott is widely regarded as a legendary and highly influential rock bassist, celebrated not just for technical skill but for his charismatic front Manship, distinctive pick-based style, imaginative songwriting, and ability to create memorable, grooving lines foy perfectly.
Leo Lyons of Ten Years After one of the best ever. Look up on youtube Good Morning little School Girl and watch Leo kill it
Jack Cassidy- Hot Tuna
Who? I see no mention of any iconic women bassists. In the 70s that would be Tina (and maybe Jackie Fox)
That's not a list without macca
Are you kidding ? Jake Bruce is definitly the best bassist in the history of the rock’n roll.
Verdine White from Earth, Wind and 🔥
Jack Bruce...
I’d slide Phil Lesh in at 9 and, push Wyman out altogether. #1 is Bass as it oughta be…
Where’s this guy? He belongs on the list over some others.
Berry Oakley - by far!
You are missing Two Jacks: Casady and Bruce
Chris Squire from "Yes" was SO great!
Jaco Pastorius
How about Michael Anthony?
Waters was a real disaster as a bassist. Gilmour played bass in many records because lines were impossible for him. So not only nazi, but horrible musician.
No Steve Harris ? How … he is number 1
