1. Make requirements less dumb 2. Delete the part or process 3. Simplify or optimize 4. Accelerate cycle-time 5. Automate Do steps 1-3 before 4 and 5. Build.

I hope there's a team of smart people following him and trying to figure out how he does it. One Elon has been amazing for world progress, imagine if we had a program that would identify 100s of top minds around the world & taught them his methodology & critical thinking skills

Very interesting. It seems that those are the steps he took when stepping into Twitter, after he clarified what he needed Twitter to accomplish (step 1), he fired everyone until he needed to bring some people back in (basically step 2). ended up being 80% of the people.
