Centrists have had to invent a fantasy version of what happened in British politics during the Corbyn as leader of Labour years, cos the reality is just too embarrassing.

God it makes me emotional. I rewatched the Labour Files and Oh Jeremy Corbyn over the weekend. Literally a tragedy what was done to him.

I remember John McTernan talking about the left's "miserabilism". It seemed to be based on the left saying "things are shit", rather than saying how Britain was amazing, even if the follow on was "and here's how we can fix it". That kind of framing *might* explain their view?
