Ahead of the Spring Statement, I discussed options with Matt Frei on LBC. Aligning tax on dividends and capital gains, with wages ... establish a single status of workers ... and a tax of 2% on wealth above £10 million. These are things that could be done rather than cuts.

@mattfrei @LBC There are only a handful of MPs that understand how taxes work. This MP is not one of them.

@mattfrei @LBC Of course you can steal more of our money to fund your profligacy…..until there’s no one left to tax, at least. Then what’re you going to do? I’ve got another idea for you, though, how about you learn to live within your means? How about that?

@mattfrei @LBC How about stop spending 7.5 billion a year on illegal migrants, sending billions to the Ukraine dictatorship, millions to terrorists in Syria and spending millions on vanity projects. We need Billionaires to invest in the UK not be taxed to death you cretin!

We've had enough of raising taxes! I'm hardly the multi millionaire I hear all the Socialists talk about for the 'wealth tax' but I made 60k this year so paid some level of the next tier tax rate with a stock's & shares portfolio of 200k with about half of it outside an ISA. Naturally I'll shift 20k to next years allowance come April but your proposal would hit me considerably too.

@mattfrei @LBC What is that all about with you hounding a Tory MP, you were telling whoppers and you won’t say sorry. Poor man was suicidal because of your lies about him. Typical Labour MPs, Tom Watson is a vile liar made a Lord by Starmer. Your party stinks of corruption

@mattfrei @LBC If people are fortunate enough to make huge sums of money in the UK, they should also pay their taxes here. The same should go for businesses. Stop pursuing the poor & disabled & focus on the billionaires using loopholes to avoid taxes
